I favor the death penalty for this couple. And I’m not kidding.
So humans are ‘special’ for what reason? The same reason a domesticated animal be different from a fly? Other animals kill their own kind. And we do kill eachother, just not for belts, or stupid reasons… unless you’re crazy.
At the very least, I find his “we don’t smoke marijuana” line to be charmingly naive and the whole “we like livin’ right” thing smacks of conformity gone mad. Was the next verse about a corn lottery?

Because I am a human and I benefit by cooperation with other humans. If it were ok to murder human beings for their skins we couldn’t build a civilization. The same is not true for killing puppies. We could murder puppies all day long and still maintain a cohesive civilization. As it is we murder millions of cows, chickens, sheep, ducks, and any other number of food animals every day. The reason we don’t kill puppies is because they cuddle with us at night.
There is no reason to not drink before posting. None at all. It makes posting more fun.
But he’s right, my comment tells you nothing about me except that I do not exalt puppies above other animals. Yours tells us that you DO exalt puppies above other animals. So what it tells us about you is more meaningful than what it tells you about me.
Well maybe back in the day, but we have PLENTY of humans to spare today. What about murderers and rapists? I would still think you to be loony if you were to wear human.

What’s the actual laws regulating the humane taking of animal life? So long as you use the proper method, are you alright, or do you need to have a license? Does it depend on the animal?

My point was not that some people like eating dog, or even that some people in some country somewhere like eating tortured dog. My point was that it wasn’t done respectfully. The dog was killed in a horrible fashion for no particular purpose other than hating someone else. I believe in hunting, and I am a practicing omnivore. Killing, eating, and tanning the hide of my neighbor’s pet cow, Bessie, is very different than killing a farm cow for food, supplies, and clothing materials. What was done to the puppy was reprehensible because of the youth of the animal, the use the carcass was put to, the previous treatment of the puppy, and the intent of the idiot.
How do you feel about veal and kid gloves?
As long as the animal in question has either been raised for food or hunted on the hoof, that’s fine with me. Nobody lied to that animal in word or deed saying “I love you”.
So, the real crime here is lying to a puppy?
