(Old) 24 Hours of Labor- A Labor Day MMP

I’ve got one more night left staying at my sister’s house. It’s a good thing these dogs are sweet and cute because man are they a lot to deal with. I’m ready to be able to sit on the couch and not be at the bottom of 200+ pounds of dog. @The_Stainless_Steel_Rat if I had to stay much longer I’d be buying you a plane ticket and let you cuddle to your heart’s content :joy: I need a break!

That looks delicious!!

Don’t be so hard on yourself! You’ve been a good tenant, and honest mistakes happen. Would putting down a fresh layer of wax be sufficient to cover up any imperfections/damage? Also, IIRC aren’t you looking to move somewhat soon? If so, I wouldn’t say anything - depending on the quality of the flooring, it might already be at it’s natural end of life anyway.

Scrolling further I see it’s vinyl from a roll - don’t lose a bit of sleep over that stuff! It’s super cheap and probably been trying to self-destruct for years at this point, which you foiled with the layers of wax.

It’s definitely more work than a freshwater tank, and more trouble than I would want to go to (but I am also very very lazy). I think it’s about a 15 gallon tank, and he spends probably an hour a week on it, including water changes. It took a lot more time when they were getting it set up and going. They go pretty regularly to have the water tested to adjust the additives or whatever is needed to keep everything in balance, and they also buy jugs of saltwater to add to the tank as the water evaporates off. So if an aquarium supply store isn’t relatively nearby, that would get tedious.

And @purplehorseshoe and @FairyChatMom are right, it’s a lot more expensive than freshwater. Everything costs more, from the components to the critters. Even tiny pieces of coral can be $50 or more if they’re a particularly pretty or unique variety.

pilot Women in the service industry find their tips are larger when they don’t mention the men in their life to their male clients. I’m not saying that you’re wrong about her (I’ve certainly known enough women like that!) but it could also be a bit of strategy on her part.
