(Old) A Good Read in the MMP

The 115 does get a little scary at times!

I am amused just thinking about it

Love it!!!

GG leaves impact craters on our waterbed. He also steals blankets, he’s a jerk to sleep with.

It sounds like hospital food is ick no matter where it is. Good on SenWife sneaking coffee it, I know that had to have helped! I hope you are released early tomorrow.

Serious, what’s up with that?

He rarely tells me that he loves me. He has bought me flowers once. Tonight I had dinner planned out (chicken taquitos with guac, pico and sour cream, black beans on the side) and had even made the pico this morning, but I got involved in a tricky bit of stitching so Hubs ordered pizza and went to pick it up.

I really have to look close to be sure that Hubs is wearing his hearing aids, they are very discrete nowadays.

So I’m guessing that cheese isn’t meat as well.

This gives you so many options for meatless days.

If you have a grill, slather a large portobello mushroom with olive oil, sprinkle with some garlic and onion powder and cook until tender. Throw a couple of pieces of sourdough bread on the grill to toast and make yourself a grilled sourdough, portobello and bleu cheese samwich. Pair it with a nice garden salad and finish with a slice of cheese cake.

Ain’t no way you will feel deprived after that!!!

Humpf. The bin reports are going to get much more boring now :frowning:

Because she wants to think she isn’t dying. She wants to believe that she will get better so she needs to be able to do things for herself. I have many sads for all of you.

:people_hugging:

All of the rescues I’ve ever heard of love to have volunteers come and pet their kitties on a regular basis.

I loved the Pern books. Strong, problem solving women who bonded with flying dragons. I would have been very happy in that world!

I would agree that this is something that needs to be explored. At this point nothing would be helped by taking her to a hospital and much harm could happen.

I sure do hope this goes easily and as painlessly as possible.

Why should we be the ones to fight the cats for our clean socks?!?

Humph indeed.

So today was a day and things got done. The R/O spigot got loose and was trying to turn sideways, so Hubs had the plumber back over. He complimented us on how nice the place was looking now compared to the first time he was here.

When Hubs told him about the water bill, he was alarmed and went into the crawlspace to be sure that nothing was leaking despite our protests.

Now that he’s been in my home for more than three times, he gets fed what I feed Hubs, so plumber had coffee and a couple of russian tea cakes before leaving.

The water company guy also came over and we learned that I had wrongly accused them of not doing anything when I called them after the plumber’s first visit. There was a nice new digital meter now and the valve looked nice and clean.

According to the readings from the last meter reading, we are using a normal amount of water (average 110 gallons a day) and the water guy agreed that a thousand gallons a day seemed excessive. He said that someone else entered his handwritten numbers into the system and he would look at his notes and see if a mistake was made there.

While we are resigned to paying the Divine Bovine bill, we are happy to know that it probably won’t happen again.

Bella is going to a different vet tomorrow. She’s a sweet lil cat who is driving everyone nuts and something must be done.

I called to confirm her appointment with the second vet and the receptionist told me that Bella couldn’t be re-spayed until she had been out of heat for three months. That’s just insane, breeding cats are in heat or pregnant. When I asked if she meant three months since being spayed, she said no, three months out of heat.

This is really frustrating. When we got our cats through the Cat Distribution System, we expected to get a sick cat that needed to be vetted and neutered. We got a shelter cat thinking that all of that had been taken care of only to find out that we ended up with an ORS cat. FML.
