I cleaned. I took out the trash and recycling. I ordered socks. I had a beer(s), since it’s National Beer Day.
This is good advice for most situations.
Hey man, no need to raise a skink about it.

Ever tried to Gila Monster? Darn hard. A thermometer tells you nothing of their health and Band-aids don’t stick to scales.
Funny but just yesterday I saw a Gila Monster up close and personal. One of my day’s activities was to visit the Gran Acuario Mazatlán which is quite new and nice. In addition to the many fish tanks they had a small herpetarium with some truly mongo pythons (?) and a Gila Monster. And sea turtles, iguanas, and alligators, but we have all those back home wandering wild in the streets, so boooring on those!
Do we have to monitor your humor??

Did do some pedaling at the gym while watching the women’s basketball game then dined on meatloaf, fries, salad and ice tea. Have pretty much been kicking back and relaxing since then, rain has an 80% chance of messing up my soccer practice tomorrow, not to mention the eclipse, so we’ll see (or not see as the case may be).
shoe, it’s not a bad idea, but I can still smell the Vicks from my youth when my Mom used to slather it all over my chest when I had a bad cough/congestion. Never used it since. And you didn’t answer the big question…is the regular coming back?
flyboy, I concur with Pilot and sounds like you are doing the right things…and you’ll still get blamed for it, of course…
Pilot, enjoy the eclipse and the party.
OK, if I’m going to blow it up on the calorie counting, let’s do it right. Heading out for a double waffle cone of Butter Pecan Ice Cream and no one can stop me!
Have a good night and I’ll catch with with y’all on the next MMP.
Buen provecho mi amigo!!
And if you weren’t getting better quickly enough it was time to break out the Vick’s Formula 44.
I swore the first 43 iterations of that formula had killed the people they tested it on just by the flavor alone. So they kept tweaking it to taste slightly less bad and as soon as they got to a formula where all the test subjects survived, they released it on the unsuspecting public. Gaah that was nasty stuff.
Could have used some, they don’t open until April 15th. Ah well, something to look forward to on my birthday later this month. I will mask my disappointment with Ritz crackers and Pepsi Zero.
Happy Sunday
Or what’s left of it.
Rough night last night. I woke at 1 then 2 then 4 because of the sciatica pain.
I stayed up at 4 because Petey dad said for sure he was going to the park. He is still sick, which is worrisome because he is never sick.
I feel back asleep sitting in my chair. Woke up at 830 and went to bed and slept until 1130.
I see the pain doctor on Friday.
We need to have a serious talk because I simply cannot deal with this anymore.
Made grilled cheese for my son today. That seemed to sit well on his stomach.
As soon as I get off here, I’m going to make him some more.
I’m thinking of making some egg in a hole for him tomorrow. I’ve forgotten the times and oven setting, but I’ll figure it out. If he can’t eat it, the dogs will.
The lawn needs to be mowed and he is not up to it.
I am not up to it either. It’s supposed to rain again, Tuesday through Friday, we will have a jungle if we don’t mow it soon.
Coppertone, have you checked out telogen effluvium? It’s a temporary hair loss caused by stress, illness, or surgery. I don’t know if covid is bad enough to cause it? I lost a lot of hair after a surgery, but it was temporary.
Shoe, I always cook the frozen chicken breasts longer than the directions. There is nothing worse than biting into raw chicken YUK!
{ smack }
It was dead, but it wasn’t dead-dead.
It started screeeeeeching and then after I pushed the “hush” button (it’s really labeled like that) it started beeping. every. few. minutes. without. stopping.
Per the instructions, that means the battery is low & the unit must be replaced. After several days of listening to the damn. thing. beeping. intermittently. I decided since it’s gotta be replaced anyway, there’s no point keeping the noisy, annoying carcass & pitched it.
You two are both grounded.
Hey man, no need to raise a skink about it.
You, too.

Aw, didja say “hey” to Pretzel’s auntie?
I saw a Gila Monster up close and personal.
They always look to me like they’re made of beads.
Like this kind:
Czech Seed Beads are high quality beads known for their uniformity in shape and size, from bead to bead. They are different from Chinese or Indian style seed beads which are usually non-uniform. Round Czech Seed Beads are great for designs that...

And you didn’t answer the big question…is the regular coming back?
I dunno. He was loading a pretty decent amount of groceries into his truck, so maybe he’s cooking for himself?
We’ll all fuss a bit over him when/if he shows back up. It’s always late as hell at night, too - he’s one of very few people S.M. has allowed to order at one friggin’ minute till close cuz, well, it’s Earl.
Meh. I’ll dox him. I doubt he’s on the 'Net or would ever find out. But he is beloved to us, in his way.
If I work precisely as scheduled next week (HA!!) I’ll be into a fair lil’ bit of overtime again. (The teenagers are back to school from Spring Break next week - they were available to work a bit more this week, which was fine by me.)
This all came up because S.M. was tallying our hours for the week and informed me that this past week I earned .2 hours of overtime. That’s “point two.” Y’all, imma make it rain!
Alrighty, time to find food that won’t have me blowin’ up my bathroom again. Wish me luck, and see y’all on the flip side in the next go 'round!
The lawn needs to be mowed and he is not up to it.
I am not up to it either.
Do you have the spare cash to hire a neighborhood teenager?
