(Old) April Showers bringing May Flowers in the MMP

I found my wedding ring!!!

 :tada: :tada:

It was underneath my wife’s ottoman. I did look under it the other day, but didn’t find it. I was just going to check the jumble of electrical cords she has by it, so I slid it farther out… and there was my ring.

Relieved! :smiling_face_with_tear:

Seems like lots of good news. I have some too.

Huzzah!

That sounds like a good plan.

Got my groceries. I went in my favorite cashiers isle. She asked if I got a puzzle book. I told her I can’t afford it. Its 6.42.
She bought it for me! Oh my.

Woke, and thought, “When I get up, I hafta put on pants and go to the phone store, and that’s gonna take a while.”

Rolled over, curled up.

Upon regaining consciousness, it was after 2:30. Some part of me really doesn’t wanna hafta.

So, my Sugar Daddy is buying me that cupcake after all?

I YAY!!!

Tried signing in to the payroll attendance software and it wouldn’t let me. So, I sent an email to manager to manually enter my time. Worked for one hour then hung up laundry, sheveled, washed and vinegared blueberries for Hubs breakfast then off to the office. Got a lot done and addressed an issue that has been nagging for 4 months.

When I got home, I found that Hubs hadn’t even gotten out of bed, much less gotten something to eat so I quickly got his cereal ready, Cheerios, banana, blueberries, sliced almonds and OJ w mango.
I had breakfast, slothed for a short time but couldn’t keep eyes open so took a nap. I awoke after about 1/2 hr or so with a very baaad case of acid reflux (it actually came up my esophagus into my mouth and nose). I was able to get back to sleep for about another hour then up watching my soaps and catching up on the mmp.

Forgot to mention earlier that the myrtle is blooming as well as the columbine plus 2 other purple flowers that I don’t know the names of. They’re perennials that Hubs bought a number of years ago. So, right now in the backyard there are 5 different varieties of purple flowers and 2 white flowers.

Howdy Y’all! Sloth, nappage, day drinkin’ and sup got accomplished. We even put on proper attire and went to Aldi’s to pick up a few things. Don’t know what got into us to make that happen, but it did! Then again, tshirt, shorts, and sandals are perfectly good attire for Aldi’s.

Taters sorry about the doggy woes. Hope a good solution for Maisie and Buster.

doggio YIKES! Glad you and everyone else didn’t get hurt.

wetone happy retiremenversary! It’s been almost seven years for me (as of August first) and I still love every single dang day of it!

Cookie tree removal is good entertainment. Some of the neighbors have done that over the past few years and it always entertains us for a day or two. Yeah, we are that kind of excitatin’.

Legend ten year olds are balls of energy. Hope the guy can get the restraining order.

BooFae even though it’s over now, happy whatever holiday this is/was for you.

GodBod have a good Summer Semester.

Die hooray for the new floor. New floorin’ is fun. I have a sad life.

Hippie I already said this on the book of faces, but I know several men who have had the external radiation and hormone therapy and they are all doin’ well with no bad side effects.

Flyboy yay for findin’ your ring!

Coppertone hooray for the nice cashier and your new puzzle book!

Cat_Glove nappage is always a good thing.

Hugs to you and your family fishy.

He does sing to the theme of All Things Considered and a few other songs, plus he’s accompanied me to a couple of dog friendly pubs.He takes after his father like that.

`

Mine’s coming up the 23rd of this month.

I once enlisted my 8 year old niece to sit on Mom’s lap when she wanted to help mop up a spill in the kitchen. Yeah, she was blind, walked with a walker and had dementia, so the last thing she needed to do was be on her feet on a wet floor.

Yay!

The magnolia blossoming is (thankfully) over and now for my favorite, honeysuckle. There’s one kind on the fence that smells wonderful this time of year and another at the front of the building that perfumes us later in the summer.

I don’t have any flowering plants on the patio, given that I’m in nearly full shade. Stuff like ivy and herbs do fine, but flowere, tomatoes and peppers do not.

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

Don’t know, and no. Never had the slightest interest in that stuff, and as far as I know it’s still illegal under federal law.

{{{Cupcakes}}}

Back to the ER this afternoon for another dose of morphine. Going to go have a talk with PT tomorrow, to see what they recommend.

Take to a Best Buy, they recycle electronics free.

Tossing but in dumpster should be a last resort.

Fishy Hugs to you.

I just had an interesting internet thingy. I got a letter from the local jury department, asking me to fill out a questionnaire. Stuff like are you a citizen, etc. So I dutifully went to the online site and tried to fill it out. It said my address is un-deliverable. Uhhhmmm, I’ve got the thing in my hand, freshly out of the mailbox.

Long day at the school today, first recovering their shop from the whirlwind of the last show leaving, then building a bunch of stuff. 8 hours has become my limit for being on my feet on a concrete floor at this stage in life.

Flyboy Conga-rats on finding the ring!

Hippie I’m sending my best to you that the non-invasive treatments work out.

Me too.

Now will you please find my$5000 hearing aids~last seen near my couch.

Up from naptime, and head grooming by Spot. Having an Old Fashioned, with spicy cheeseburger and fires.

Yay!

Indeed!

To be fair, I doubt the manufacturer intended that thing to run non stop for 40 years in an extreme environment. But now I have to add “the building” to things that might fall on me, along with boxes of screws, and 70lbs. bags of ADP payroll envelopes, and anvils.

Good evening all. Did some banking and then got a mile and a half of swimming done, took quite awhile and had to do it in three shifts, but made it. Then coached the girls soccer, they voted that they want to paint my beard, so I have to figure out how to do this for both the U8 and the U10 teams (I think I’ll have the U8’s paint it this weekend and the U10’s on the last Saturday we play (18th) ). Dinner was provided by Dairy Queen, they make a pretty decent hamburger and fries, so I’ve add them to the Moanday fast food list. Now home and in my comfy business chair with no major plans to move much until bedtime beckons.

Now, what has everyone been up to…

wet one, conga-rats on the retirement anniversary. I can barely remember the year (I think it was 2015) and the date has escaped me completely.

Cookie, trees, especially big ones, can be a pain to remove. The water department took down a bunch of big trees that had lined the main road our subdivision empties into, it was a mess for several weeks but now I can see cars coming both ways for a lot father than before, so not a bad deal.

Legend, hope the yard continues to bloom. And yes, having coached 6-11 year olds for a number of years, they are an active bunch (and apparently most of them are hard of hearing, too…)

I had to look that word up, so in this case not being coordinated in time is not a bad thing, I guess.

Dicey, hope the new floor is worth the bother.

Hippy, Flyboy, Coppertone, I am happy for all three of you providing your individual rays of sunshine here.

Herald, hope the pain is lessening.

VanGo, could they have meant your e-mail address? Some local government systems can be rather screwy.

And assorted hugs, cheers, tears and laughter for anyone who needs it. Have consumed all the calories I planned for today, so much exercise some self-discipline for the next 2-3 hours…take care all.

Shortly after they arrived in Merrylande and settled in their first apartment, FIL’s hearing aids disappeared. We ordered replacements, and the very next day, MIL found them - jammed into the bottom cavity of a figurine. We never did figure out why FIL did that. Just another delightful aspect of dementia.

I did call my mom today. Got to say hi, fine, and then a couple hundred uh-huhs during her monolog. The woman does talk… But she shared all the family updates and random other stuff for almost an hour, so I’m all caught up.

There was a thunderboomer just a bit ago, but now it’s just rain. Time to mosey back to read in bed. Not sure what tomorrow holds. More adventure, no doubt.

The nearest one is at least a half hour from here. There electronic recycling places here in the city, though.

Or just give it to the next kid you see…

Our pyroxanthia looks like a snowball covered bush, our pomegranate is showing flower buds so we should be getting those lovely big red flowers soon. The carnations and columbines are in full bloom and the clover patch is covered with pretty little bee covered white flowers.

This truly is my favorite time of the year.

Oh, gosh, that sounds like so much fun. NOT! We’ve had a couple of stray females go into heat once they get a few good meals in them and that was super loud and annoying. Trying to keep two bonded critters apart would be so much worse.

I didn’t think that shrimp scampi was ever breaded. I’ve never eaten or cooked it that way, mine involves a lot of garlic and butter with garlic bread on the side.

That not getting up to go to work is always the best part! Happy retirement indeed!

That’s not great for the environment, is it possible for you to take it to be recycled?

I’m excited for you, I’ll bet it looks wonderful!

Oh, thank goodness. I was sending good thoughts your way.

Blame the cats! Of coursed it wasn’t there when you looked the first time, they hadn’t played midnight soccer with it yet.

Ask the cats!

I stitched today. And heated up leftovers for dinner. I’ve caught up here and am going to do more stitching.

Happy Monday!

Same here.
