(Old) Be-Labor-ing a Point. An End of (Meteorological) Summer MMP

Good Sunday evening all. Took on a full load of Pot Roast w/rice & gravy, soup and salad, cookies and pecan pie at the Golden Corral, then pedaled half the calories away later this afternoon. Just finished a Big bag of Salad as I bought one this morning for later this week, forgetting I already had one on hand. So waste not, want not… Temperature is down to 75F so another beautiful evening in store (but back up to 90F tomorrow…). Still need to put the dishes away from the dishwasher, I’ll get that before bedtime (maybe). Otherwise a night of sloth and puzzles.

FCM, hope the 2-dammit problem with the toilet is fixed for good.

Six, hope the wrist gets to feeling better soon. And use up that leave time, and happy Nine Months to Retirement Day!

VanGo, I have an old push mower that doesn’t work, if you’d like to add it to your collection…

As well you should. I’ve got about 15% complete, should get it up to 25% before bedtime and should pretty well finish it by Wednesday… I get distracted by the Ken-Ken and Acrostic games (oh, squirrel!) there.

Oopsie, glad Fall seems to be arriving, still getting to 90F here in the next couple of days but at least the evenings are much cooler; have gone all day today without the HVAC being on. And being a lone bachelor I do worry a bit on being alone and incapacitated, but just haven’t motivated myself to get any type of device to let me contact help. Guess I’ll have to fall and break something to learn that lesson.

Never been an election official, but have voted in every presidential election since 1972.

Hippie, that’s awesome. :bowing_man: :bowing_man: :bowing_man:

I’m like my Mom was, a ‘landmarks’ driver (as in, turn left at the Circle K and look for the wal-Mart on your left…) but I’ve gotten a little bit better on directional driving over the years…still prefer written instructions if I can get them (albeit FCM gave me good ones years ago to visit them and I still got lost…)

shoe, according to Wikipedia, Chuck E Cheese still has over 500 locations.

It’s also at the end of one of my all-time favorite short stories:

The Nine Billion Names of God by Arthur C. Clarke

I adore you.

red, not much into steampunk (I do read the webcomic Girl Genius however, so I am not a complete novice) but nice work on those cards.

We see the occasional food truck (usually Hispanic food) around here, but not a lot of businesses around here so they are rather limited.

Cupcakes, I watch my calories closely, but sometimes you just gotta go with it and eat like there is no tomorrow. Sunday and Monday are my days that I usually blitz the calorie counter and then pay for it the rest of the week.

And that about wears my typing skills out; have a good end of the week and I’ll catch all y’all on the next MMP.
