Mr. brown also has issues with skin cancer on his head. He has had a couple of divots removed, and the last one was an unpleasant experience. So much so, that he refuses to go back for skin checks at the dermatologist anymore. If it’s skin cancer that does him in at the end, I won’t be surprised.
I’ve had a morning of setting up a new payment system from our income-producing Schwab IRAs. Schwab used to have a cool system called “Intelligent Income”, which for a modest fee handled all the payment chores and also provided free access to CFAs as part of their service. It worked really, really well, and we were very pleased. But, like all things that work well and that we love, they stopped providing it. But the investment strategies and portfolio robo-rebalancing part of the system remain the same, Schwab assures us.
So starting this month, I had to manually set up our recurring monthly payments. I think I have it all set up properly, with tax withholding for both fed and state. We’ll see with the next paychecks at the end of this month if I’ve goofed them up.
We’re expecting a new rug to be delivered today. It goes underneath our dining room table and will replace an old cheesy Home Depot rug that has been there for about twenty years. We moved the table, rolled up the old rug and removed it, then vacuumed and mopped the vinyl plank flooring underneath with laminate vinyl floor cleaner. The dining room is right next to the kitchen, and greasy cooking steam settles in unused corners, mixes with dust, and becomes gummy grime that needs going over four times to get it really clean. So that’s done and I’m taking a load off while we await delivery of the new rug and Mr. brown escorts the old rug to its final resting place at the dump.
