(Old) Happy Memorial Day or Just Happy Moanday in the MMP

Aw, maaan, I just realized - FCD will get to go to Costco!

:joy::joy::joy:

Tell me about this Costco.

It’s a place where you go in with a list and come out with a second mortgage.

Howdy Y’all! Laundry got laundered and put away where it stays until it gets dirty again. We et the poke chops and leftover for N.O.L. Then we had quality cee-mint pool time to include nappage and day drinkin’. Now we are inside, all showered and enjoyin’ the a/c. It’s HAWT outside!

Hippie how cool is it that band is still goin’ strong. Thanks for sharin’.

Pulley I need a vacation and several adult beverages just to chill out after readin’ about your last few weeks! Glad things have calmed down.

BBBoo your dentist wins best band name ever!

Taters hope the pups get relief from the mites soonest and that you get your pedicure. I know some folks like pedicures, but ain’t nobody touchin’ my feets!

fachverwitt yay for power, a/c, and fresh brewed coffee!

nettie HOORAY!!! So glad Buddy is back. Is he on restriction? Nevermind, I see that he is. I also heard the audio of him vocalizin’ over on the book of faces.

MOOOOOOM maybe FCD will bring you a fifty gallon drum of Costco mayo as a souvenir.

Well, I have been de-stitched. Checked in at 12:50pm for my 1:00pm appointment and finally got to the back about 2:05pm (to be fair, it’s a clinic, there’s only one doc, and it was very busy). Got the snipping done quickly, he stuck a couple of band aids on it (keep then until tonight he says, then freedom!) and let me loose into the general populace. Think now that I will get me some dinner around 5:30pm and then head over to the gym for a little exercising. Up to 86F now and hardly a cloud to be seen.

verwirrt, glad the power is back on and being properly caffeinated is always a good start.

Nettie, HOORAY! Buddy must have had enough adventuring, hopefully he’s learned to stay put now.

doggio, clicking Spot’s ears is one thing, but don’t try scrolling his head now…

Pilot, depends on what side of the bed I sleep on if I get early sunlight or not. Most days I’m up around 7am no matter where I sleep.

FCM, know that it is a large cost, but I think the first-class flying is the best decision if MIL and Indiana family are still determined to make it happen. Make sure the airports/airlines know so she can get wheelchair/mobility assistance from door-to-door (I know, preaching to the person that has already arranged for it).

Wheelie, breakfast buffet closed at 11:00am? That seems odd. We have a lot of places opening up around here that are breakfast/lunch/brunch stops, only open 6am-2pm. Have tried a couple, may have to try some more.

Sticky Buns, just some {{{hugs}}} cause it sounds like you could use them. Hope the medication works out for you.

OK, a little TV and some reading, and then the big decision; do I have dinner and then go to the gym, or do my gym stuff and then eat a late meal? The world wonders…

FCD is going with her, so no special assistance will be needed.

Two weeks from today. Here’s hoping the weather cooperates during flight times.

Yay!

I hope that you get something that helps you sticky buns. Hugs.

Irked, came home, walked Nelson and et. Such excitement!

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

Off to Urgent care. I think the liquid bactrim is messing with my stomach.

Oh, I’m sure you’re going to totally miss out on that…

Feel better!

I talked to MusicMan and we decided that I’m just going to quit taking the medicine. I’m ok with that. What I’m trying to figure out is what this means for my future chances of trying other similar meds that are specifically for weight loss. I’d certainly like to lose weight in a way that works for me, but I don’t want to feel the way I might have to feel to do it.

In the meantime, I’m just here with a poodle next to me getting ready to do some work.

Yeah, that took us by surprise. We’d assumed it would be open when we got there. All’s well that ends well, though.

FCD will also be wrangling luggage, as well as dealing with all the usual mundane aspects of traveling. Just having someone else pushing the wheelchair will surely make things immensely less stressful. I know he can be as stubborn as his mother, but I would urge him to at least look into using the service.

Ugh. I hope you can get that sorted and feeling better quickly!

Same here. I’m much too ticklish.

We can hope. He IS grounded for at least a few days. No patio time, since I’m now worried about him coming back in a timely manner.

He’s currently hanging out in the otherwise-empty washer. Don’t worry, having had cats throughout my life, it’s a very solid automatic reflex to check the laundry equipment for live occupants before starting it, and to make sure I know where pets are before doing so.

Not to mention FCD’s back and knee issues.

They said it was likely the antibiotic, and that my uti was clear after 3 days but hes giving me a different one, which I will take.
He said people are supposed to drink 2 liters of water a day.

Not to mention that MIL falls over when she thinks about walking.

Huzzah!

I stopped at Petsmart on my way to bus stop and thought, check out the cats.
Mistake.
A beautiful little tortie maybe 7 weeks old comes up to the glass, reaches up at me and it hurt not to get her.
But I cannot afford that right now.
I should not go there again.

I have the same problem at pet adoptions or shelters. I want to take ALL of them home with me.

We just bought a tracking device for GG. It’s an airtag for droids and has a little arrow point at where he is when he is close, but goes to maps for the “stalking” when we are about a mile away. Two were less than 40 bucks AND Hubs and I can both track the same tag with our phones.

The last time he wore a collar was when he was 12 weeks old, he isn’t really thrilled with this latest development.

Nothing bad is going to happen, GG will be on drugs and there will always be at least two doors between him and the outside, but this has settled our minds so it was money well spent.

Wow, I’m amazed that the airline is willing to take the risk, but I’m also happy she is getting this one last visit. Have FCD send you pics of what first class travel is like so you can share with all of us plebs.

This is the way.

I am so glad you have power and coffee. AC is always nice, but coffee and flushing terlits are critical.

Our new place doesn’t have a fridge - we knew that going in - so we will probably be living out of the ice chest for a few days until we can get a new one delivered. I think we should just order one now and schedule delivery for after closing, but hubs is sure that the economy and housing market are going to tank in the next two weeks so we need to be sure we can sell our current place before buying appliances.

I’m going to need to head to the dispensary after he leaves Thursday morning, I’ve been smoking much more than usual lately.

I hope you just got the meds, our vet usually doesn’t need an exam if she has seen our fuzzbutts in the last year, but pups and geriatric critters do need to be seen more often.

We had a fun/sad late lunch with NF and her hubs today. We met them at our favorite Mexican place for our last meal together. We always have a good time together, but everyone knew that this would be the last time so there was some underlying sadness as well.

NF was out of the state last week, which was the perfect time for NF Hubs to set himself on fire trying to light an alcohol lamp. He didn’t notice he had spilled alcohol on his hand until he saw the flames at which time he got very busy. Once he got the fire on his hand smothered, he noticed that his hair was on fire!!!

I was expecting to eat lunch with The Mummy, but his head just looked bruised…kinda like he’d walked into the corner of a cabinet and his fully functional hand looked like he had used iodine on paper cuts.

It could have been so much worse.

I gave NF CG’s number and they are going to work out egg and kitchen scrap exchanges, so that’s done.

The Mexican place serves HUGE portions and usually folks eat their fill and then take the rest home for tomorrow. Hubs is leaving Thursday and we are going out again tomorrow, so he ate everything and is now all yawns.

He loaded all of his ammo in his car today and while doing so found .45 ammo that he doesn’t use anymore so he put it up for sale on Nextdoor.

For those who don’t know, I am a Nextdoor lead AND gun/ammo sales are not allowed per Nextdoor rules. Every single time I have pulled an ad for guns and/or ammo, I’ve been attacked by both the 1st amendment and 2nd amendment people over it. It has been mean and hateful.

I have gone power mad over this. Every time someone yells at me over abusing my power by leaving his post up, I just copy and post their bitching when I didn’t allow it. “You said I shouldn’t pull that sort of thing and here are your words. Pick your side, hypocrite!” The meltdowns have been fabulous.

Got link?

The disc is smaller than a half dollar, but bigger than a dollar coin. It keeps clinking against his food bowl and I suspect it will get wet while he’s playing in his fountain. I’ll keep you posted if he breaks it.

And of course they dropped the price after we bought ours. GRRRR.
