(Old) Happy Memorial Day or Just Happy Moanday in the MMP

Despite starting 15 minutes late due to Midnight being a dumpster fire, it was a decent heave. Now I just have to make some pasta sauce in the slow cooker for dinner tonight.

Much like HIPAA, “everything is a conspiracy if you don’t know how anything works.”

Dairy is Peak Breakfast. Best Idea!

But where’s the fun in that. :stuck_out_tongue:

For a minute I thought that was Rabies. Which would really make you foaming at the mouth to shampoo the carpet.

Yay!

And TruGreen just came by to treat my lawn, so I guess I’ll use that as an excuse not to mow today…there is still Thorsday. Will shortly summon up the ambition and head over to resume my lap swimming regime.

FCM, I got glasses when I was 6-7, so definitely get Roxy’s eyes checked. And to the best of my memory, I never lost them (now spare pairs I have lost a lot of…).

Press on.

Greetings the ER. Apparently I lost a few hours. They did a CT scan. Waiting for results. Good times…

whoa, say what now?!?

I think in her clumsy way, she’s saying she hopes you can get to avoid the hassle & cost of constantly replacing a kid’s lost glasses.

As in, “Maybe it was a false alarm after all & you dodged a bullet.”

Lay off that tequila, woman.

(Joking!! In all seriousness, are you okay?

FCM, hope everything is OK.

I went out for my regular ride this morning and this happened.

Waiting on some test results. No clue what happened. I had a routine Dr appt this morning, went home and gave MIL meds and breakfast, and went out to work. Next thing I remember is being in the ambulance. That aide who came to shower MIL called 911.

Scary…

Jeebus Christ woman! Hope this turns out well and easy.

I’d make a joke about tempting Mother Nature with your earlier claim of great health, but Karma is an even bigger bitch than Mother Nature.

So earlier today I went on a bricks and mortar retail goose chase I’ll explain later when I’m not pecking at my phone. Short version:An hour-plus down the drain.

Disappointed, I decide to find solace in a nice lunch in a fun area maybe 4 miles away from my last stop:

15 minutes later I park the car, read your post, and a few seconds later a monster scintillating scotoma takes over the upper left quadrant of my vision.

Holy brain malfunctions here in Gotham Mumper City!! I could see to walk carefully, but driving would have been dangerous. Now 20 minutes later it’s only out at the periphery and I can see to order lunch & peck at my phone.10 minutes ago that’d have been difficult bordering on impossible.

That was my take. Emphasis on “clumsy”. It’s a reasonable generalization that kids lose stuff. With no regard to the price of that stuff.

Plus of course just wishing Roxie isn’t stuck w glasses. All else equal I’d rather have avoided 50+ years of corrective lenses.

I’m not quite following you, but if you hsnd-cycled 50 miles I’d be honored to shakevyour hand but fearful my arm would be ripped out by the roots.

Scary indeed!
Here’s hoping the cause was something easily treatable. And to that end, do whatever the doctors tell you, to the letter!

FCM, whoa! :scream: :scream: :scream: That is scary as hell and I hope you’re doing OK now. Any idea at all what happened? And what Wheelie said.

coach, you post all the Trump stuff and ride 50 miles? What are you, Superman?

Pilot, you take care of yourself, too; if this is something new (and when you were a pilot I would you’d have to report things like that), then get a Drs. appointment post-haste.

Got my swimming in (did a mile in 58 minutes) and am now resting. Up to 85F now and no other activity is planned for the day outside of some dinner fixing.

Happens about once every 5 years and has since my early 30s. The medical industry shrugs and says “sometimes that happens”.

Scary the first time. But otherwise, like being dizzy, it can be a fun thing to observe. Kinda like flame, they’re always similar but never the same.

No follow on effects this time; sometimes I get a pretty good bout of fatigue for a few hours.

Being admitted for testing, mostly to rule things out. So weird to lose that block of hours.

FCD has left to get some stuff for me and tend to the dog and his mom. He should bring my charger and tablet back.

They want a neurologist to see me and they don’t know why my BP spiked. It’s still way high. Off for MRI shortly. This is scary. Guess it’s a good thing that Jessica came today for MIL - she called 911. I remember raking, then I was in the ambulance. But somewhere in there I called FCD and talked to him about a Visa charge. I just don’t remember…

welll due to having glases since aroind 11 years old and having lost/broken about 2 dozen pairs …when I was 12 I had hit the state of ca’s replacement limit for the next 2 years after and then hours of running around trying to find them … So she is sort of right it is a thing with kids that can be a pain in the ass… I’m thinking shes thinking "I hope she doesn’t have ot go through that "
or this

IT was aliens! they wanted to see how certain humans get so much done in a day so they “borrowed” you … yeah that’s it !(works for people on the history and science channels …)

Gentle hugs and good vibes.

Dang Mooooooom! I’m glad that the aide found you. Hope that everything checks out and they find the issue.

Irked, came home, walked Nelson (he got to hang with all of his girlfriends on our walk) and et. I should finish up SIL’s birthday gift this evening or tomorrow.

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

Oy! Best wishes to all who are having the bad mojo going on. Hugs to you all!!

I’m slogging through getting a contract done for building the boat model. They keep wanting to adjust the details. I’d just like to get paid so I can start building.

The Lyme has taken a toll, I find myself sleeping on the couch far too frequently. So far that’s the only symptom. Aside from an itch from the original bite.

Hope y’all’s days went bettr’n mine.

Just had my first MRI. Just of my head - I think they suspect possible stroke. We’ll see what the neurologist has to say.

I’m in my room, waiting for FCD to come back. It’s raining. I don’t know what to think. It was cute, tho, when the tech asked I could be pregnant!

Hongree! I didn’t have lunch and I think I missed supper here, but my sweetie is bringing me a mcsammich. Nurse is here.

A few years ago, someone I lived with had a stroke. They would not let him eat because swallowing can be difficult and not safe.
Right now I’m wanting some buttered toast but have no toaster or butter.
Better than yesterday when I wanted Ding Dongs.
Not wanting to take my new scrip but the dr office said even though my sample was all clear of anything yesterday, it “could come right back.” Really?

FCM Here’s hoping it was just low sugar levels. Ya gotta eat lunch. (sez the guy who frequently forgets lunch)

Possible stroke is scary, but the fact that you’re here posting about it is a pretty good sign. Here’s hoping for something minor.

Wowee! You had a day and a half. I hope it is an easy thing.

Very, very, scary.

Will they do a heart check? You had that as a “to do” on your medical checklist.

Your doctor must be mystified.
