Afternoon, mumpers! It’s currently 8c/46f with a predicted high of 9c/49f, and mostly cloudy. Weather app says “Welcome to today. It’s a fucking grey bucket of suck outside. You’re fucking welcome.” Yes, it’s grey and cloudy out there but I have no need to be anywhere so I don’t mind.
We’ve spent a long time messing with it!
I don’t think I know of anyone my age who doesn’t know how to play “Three Blind Mice” on the recorder
Such an essential life skill!
I can be the same, it’s an effort to get out of the house and actually get myself there but once I’m in the building, I could quite happily spend a couple of hours there.
{{{{{Mooom and FCD}}}}} it’s a tough time when you’re on a deathwatch. I hope she goes peacefully in her sleep.
Hurrah! Always great to tune into something you love
That was kind of her, and kind of him because you wouldn’t feel right turning up without anything. Cookies are always a good bet.
Stand-in manager and her sister did a good job there then, it’s great to know you have people like that who can be relied on to turn things around.
Taters I hope hubs feels better soon and doesn’t pass the ick on to you! I am also not a fan of boxing, I saw the result of the fight on the news but that’s all and I wasn’t even sufficiently interested to take much notice.
Flyboy glad you both enjoyed the Titanic exhibition, but sorry to hear about the injury. I hope it heals well, and quickly!
I meant to post yesterday but just didn’t get spare time to read and reply as it was a very busy day. I was up a bit later than usual for a Saturday, had some breakfast and went to the gym. They’ve got a new booking system and have changed the timetable again. I booked onto the kettlebells class at 10.45am but there wasn’t anything else before that of interest to me. I spent an hour on the elliptical trainer instead so burned off 600 cals on there, and probably another 250 with the kettlebells.
Went home afterwards via the pet store to get cat litter and some treats, then had a shower and some lunch before going out to a local supermarket where we’re allowed to be in the foyer with collection buckets for Little Paws. It was busy, lots of people put a few coins in the buckets and we raised £352 in five hours so that was a good result for us.
After that, I went home and counted all the money, bagged it up and will drop it round to the person who does the banking at some point, I need to find out from her when it’s convenient to do that. I made dinner, washed the dishes, then we went out to see three bands at the Giffard. As usual, we ended up in the bar afterwards nattering, and suddenly it was 3am, and Wendy was turning the lights on to let us all know it was time to go home!
Late and lazy start to the day here, the cats have been fed and medicated, the litter trays are clean, and I’ve got a load of laundry in the machine. I don’t plan to do much else today, apart from a long soak in the bath later. 'im indoors is providing dinner so all I have to do now is work out what I want for lunch, then plan an afternoon of slothage.
