(Old) How often do you change passwords - a secure MMP

Good morning, all! It was 75ºF this morning. “But was it muggy?” I hear you all asking. Yes. Yes, it was. It was clear last night, so I had hoped it would cool off a bit more, but no such luck. By the time the sun was coming up, it was over cast again, so no sunrise pics. Instead, here’s a scary dragon:

Mrs Magill and Squeaky Spent the night in Notre Dame, IN on their way to Chicago this morning. No word on Squeaky’s opinion of UM. Out of the schools he’s looked at so far, it sounds like Penn State is winning.

Yesterday morning, Mrs Magill looked at the odometer of er car and realized she was about to hit 45K. When we bought the car, the guy in finance who told us about the warranty stressed that we needed Toyota to do the scheduled maintenance every 5000 miles, or the warranty could be voided. As she likes to say, Mrs Magill is a rule follower. She tasked me with finding a Toyota dealership between Toronto and Ann Arbor that could take her last minute. I found one in London who could take her in the Lexus side. She pulled in and found out that it would not count towards Toyota’s warranty. Crap. It was at that point that I realized I was sometimes late with my maintenance with my old Prius, and my warranty still covered a full replacement of the hybrid drive system (one month before it expired), so I called the finance guy at our dealership and told him that she was on a road trip, would her warranty still be okay if she brought it in next week with 46000 miles on it. He said that would be fine, as long as we were not negligent in our maintenance and upkeep, the warranty would still be good. I relayed this to her, and she left the prema-construction zone of London, ON and went on her merry way.

Asked every office worker ever.

Probably not, but everything on your account is CPI, and companies have a legal obligation to make sure that only you and they have access.

Coppertone I’m glad the interview and trial run went well.

BUNNY!
< ahem >
It took me far too long to realize you meant an actual bee butt.

Metal Mouse I went to Five Guys. I usually get chicken fingers from the joint up the street after yoga on Thursdays. I figured chicken fingers two days in a row is a bit much.

Can confirm. When Mrs Magill was in the throes of chemo, my parents sent us some Harry & David’s meals. They came in two inch thick styrofoam containers filled with dry ice. The boys and I enjoyed playing with the dry ice.

Then you (the sender, doggio) are a horrible person and horrible things should happen to you.

Thank you. You’re very kind.
:light_blue_heart: :pink_heart: :white_heart: :pink_heart: :light_blue_heart:

The chicken fingers are good. They’d better be, since that’s all they do. The fries are… fries. You should ask your rector what would be a beverage for VBS better than Purple Jesus?

Well, I’m still going to wish you luck, whether you want it or not. And once you realize the difference in the colors, you will care. The sky will actually be blue, not an ugly greenish color that you think is blue.

That’s the thing, I can see colors just fine. They are vivid. The problem was that my eyesight is shifting so quickly that I would require new glasses every six months. I am not doing that.

If there is improvement with color I will be surprised.

After my IHOP feast the other day, my body, ah, informed me that I needed to at least occasionally glance at dietary fiber, so after work last night I fixed myself a split pea soup - to my chagrin, I have eaten all my croutons! - and washed down a multivitamin with a ton of water.

Things are movin’ along this morning.

Usually I’d thumb my nose in your general direction from sheer jealousy, but with a nice, full tummy I actually got a decent rest for a change.

I really like this.

Man plans, gods laugh.

S.M. has been training one of the crew for management. He’s bright and a fast worker, but, ummm … can be an abrasive asshole.

Gossip is, during opening yesterday he mouthed off to her one too many times, and she sent him home. (!) I noticed his absence when I arrived, and frankly hadn’t been looking forward to closing with him anyway so I wasn’t sad, but I didn’t find out till I gave Carless a ride home after closing what really happened … and HE was supposed to be Early Out but stayed to cover.

No wonder S.M. was in a not-so-sweet mood by the time I wandered in.

TL:DR restaurant crew is having drama again.

We shall see what tonight brings. I’m supposed to work another super-short shift tonight, but who knows?

He said its 14 an hour but they add tips at the end of the month.

Not too shabby! I really hope this one works out for you.

I was out pulling weeds when the hospital scheduler called. I get my EEG next Thurs. This is to help determine if I can be weaned off seizure meds. Right now I’m on full dose in the morning amd half at night. So we’ll see.

Sitting outside the car guy’s shop ‐ FCD’s vehicle will be serviced. Then back to weeding.

I was in the same boat. My right eye was changing too quickly.

< mode=Yoda >You will be. You will be.< /mode >

I just finished up the morning infusion. Then I’ll get the pleasure challenge of showering without getting it wet (I have a special sleeve). Then go grocery shopping. Sad thing is, is that Nelson can’t do uppies while I’m infusing, pore thang!

Is he considering NDU? Or just as importantly, are they considering him? Coming from someone who spent a lot of Saturdays in view of the golden dome. Heck, as a kid, NDU football came on right after cartoons on Saturdays and I could sing the fight song by the time I went to school (I’m sure that endeared me to some of the nuns who taught me  ).

I slept until almost nine this morning. It’s been a long time since I’ve done that, but getting up yesterday at 0600, then doing medical crap all day tuckered me out. Once KP is done, I’ll shower and head to Joe V.'s to pick up comestibles.

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

No, it’s just where they decided to spend the night. Mrs Magill wanted to take a picture of him like he was touring there, but he gave that idea the kibosh.

Today is a fun day in Mrs Magill’s favorite city, Chicago.

Just about every cat I’ve ever been owned by thinks litterbox scooping is great cause for concern. They also seem to feel a need to start a new collection ASAP once it’s been scooped.

After going through all kinds of nonsense (including two separate trips to the bank) to get a secret code online to give to my new bank so I could get a bonus amount of money for doing business with them, I’m now told that it only applies if you have a ridiculous amount of money in your checking account and that money in a CD “doesn’t count”. Who the hell keeps that kind of money in a checking account? But I’ll still get the original amount of . . . drumroll please . . .$50. That’s two burgers and fries at 5 Guys. Guess which bank I won’t be putting more money in.

When I decided I’d weeded enough, I took my sweetie to lunch at Salsa’s, with a stop first at CVS to get my seizure meds. The doc gave me 3 months worth!!! Actually, 4 months, because of the reduced evening dose. Plus FOUR refills! And it could be longer refills if she reduces my dose further. We’ll find out on Sep 3.

Anyway, home. House is still open since it’s mild and not muggy. I need to empty the dishwasher, and I’ll pull some chicken out to thaw so I can cook it up and make chickie salad. That’s as far ahead as I’ve thought. On to the kitchen!!

Howdy Y’all! Thought I would make a quick post before I head over to the church house. Been a perfectly lazy day at da cave, so I guess I could do with some adventure. OYKW has decided he will feast at Jack’s as in actually go there and eat. I think he has kinda sorta enjoyed bein’ on his own to feed himself sup this week. He promised that any orgies would be over and done before I get home. Thoughtful of him.

OK, off to feed the urchins!

Evenin’

Another warm, dry day, spent getting frustrated at things on the computer. I have a bit over 2 months more of writing frustration expected, so I probably don’t need to say that daily, but…
I did not take the biiig bin down to get collected, because I forgot. It doesn’t matter, there’s not much in there and it can wait til the next pick up.

The less-sweary local forecast has some rain due tomorrow night, which will be welcome if it happens, but also may mean all the snails and slugs come out partying and having orgies all over the place.

On the dry weather front, I’m impressed with how well the little bare-root apple trees I planted last winter are dealing with it- none of them have looked even slightly thirsty, and I’ve only watered once, last week, as it’s been ages since the last proper rain. One has 4 nice looking apples on it - hardly a bumper crop but getting any from plants that size first year is a surprise - and all of them put on plenty of healthy new growth (cut back cos I’m training them on cordons) and look like they should have some flowers next year. Meanwhile the bargain potted cooking apple tree I planted at the same time, which was much bigger and already fruiting, has needed regular watering and still looks crap.

Taters I have tidy garden envy looking at your lovely pics. I have plenty of flowers, but as soon as you look close, you realise there’s at least as many weeds…

It seemed like a decent day, apart from the monsoon. Except. The huge quantity of wet stuff(especially the Next Day Air stuff) to rebox and re wrap. Like 5 carts worth. Up there with the 2 quarts of spilled Rust- Oleum Disaster of 2023. At one point I even asked one of the FT Sups, “Did we start using open cockpit biplanes for the Air?” It turns out the successful, profitable multi billion dollar corporation has a bunch of Air can trailers with holes in the roof. And the cans aren’t exactly water resistant, either. So every rainstom we get a box apocalypse. I got sent home at 1:00p.m., and there was still work to do. After that, I stopped at Ace to buy an outside broom to replace the free outdoor broom that rusted out and broke after 3 years, then did my Senior Day shopping. But now I’m home, provisions have been stowed, and Spot is off being cat and mysterious.

Too bad y’all can’t vote TM off the Island like they do on Survivor. But the fact she’s still there means she has an endless supply of Immunity Idols. :moai:

Rye whiskey.

Sounds familiar.

Cool.

… and yet …

:snail: :eggplant:

Jeez, the MMP gonna need one of those black-bar/pixellating censorship things soon.

Maybe we can put the mint/pistachio cookie to use?

The long odyssey of my Kleenex order is finally over. It arrived this afternoon.

We went our to check our tomato plant and found it loaded with ripe, sweet cherry tomatoes. Yum!

Nice fellow.

And a good afternoon all. Gym has been gymed and a bacon and grilled cheese sammich has found it’s way to my stomach for a mid-day snack, so in a good mood. Shopping list is completed, but that doesn’t mean I won’t find 3-4 more items to pick up while I’m there tomorrow. Clouds have moved in but no rain so far.

And need to keep up my side of the never-ending conversation…

Mollie, a rather furry dragon, don’t you think? And glad things worked out on the warranty, didn’t know they (Toyota) demanded you do the service with them and them only. I went to Hyundai this time (it was the first) but planned to do the oil changes in the future at local spots, may have to check into my warranty info.

shoe, I should mention said sleep was interrupted by a trip to the bathroom, something that seems to occur 1-2 times a night no matter when or how much fluid I drink. And assholes are going to asshole…he just picked the wrong target this time. Won’t help his management training evaluation any.

FCM, appendages crossed that the EEG shows no problems.

Cookie, ah, the fine print…always gets me too. And Yay! for the Kleenex arrival and the incipient cherry tomato orgy (since orgies seem to be an in thing with the MMP today…).

Nut, best wishes for fresh apples soon.

doggio, hope the flooding I’m hearing about doesn’t mess up your day (JtC’s too).

And that’s all for now. Really need to do a couple of the soccer courses tonight, just have to go ahead and log in, instead of doing/watching something interesting…

doggio did you teleport up to metropolitan Detroit? I could swear I just saw you on Telegraph holding open an umbrella in the full sun and wearing a black T with the words “I IDENTIFY AS THE PROBLEM”. [tee hee]

Molly what a cutie your dragon, er your pup is!

Are you able to give it to yourself or does someone come and do it for you? Sounds like it’s in your arm. Hubs had a tri-fusion port in his chest and I had to give him magnesium infusions which lasted for at least an hour, maybe it was longer, every day for about 2 months, can’t remember exactly how long, I’d like to totally forget that year…except for if he/we hadn’t gone through it, he likely may not have been here now and he’s doing very good; definitely on the positive side of the 50% who live.

We went to a football game at NDU about a dozen or so years ago. It was a magical campus. One of the guys I worked with when I was FT had gone there and he gave me some pointers on how to have the best experience. The steak sandwiches were excellent. Enjoyed visiting the grotto. The game was fun except that NDU won. Oh well. Afterwards we went to mass in the cathedral. Our basketball coach and his family also came to mass although they had to stand in the back because I’m sure they spent some time with the football team after the game. I’d go back again but tickets are very difficult to come by. Also I don’t think my team has played them in some time.

You are very welcome to say that every single fricking day until the writing frustrations ceases! You’re amongst supportive friends. We lurves you.

Had to go into work again today; that makes 4 days in a row. Aaargh. But I was able to get totally caught up with recording transactions through yesterday. Although one thing that cast a pall at the office today is that the gent who put his 47 yr old son in hospice on Monday called yesterday evening to say that his son had passed. Manager brought in some sympathy cards for us to sign. Also did the paperwork then input into the financial software to get petty cash reimbursed.

Met my BF at a family diner after she called me at 1:40ish to go to lunch. We had hoped to go much sooner but she had to go to the Social Security office and take a copy of her marriage license and she had to wait for almost 2 hours before she got called up to speak with a SS employee. Had a gyro pita; it was just ok; instead of having the normal sauce, I was given a container of hard sour cream to put on it. Heck! Also had a cup of cream of potato soup and it exceeded my expectations.

Need to go out and put my car into the driveway behind Hubs. Normally he parks his car at the curb but Fridays are Public Service days which means trash, recycling, yard waste pickup along with occasional street sweeping and tree limb cutting, etc so no cars can be on the street. Since I was out with friend and Hubs was out at the driving range and I got home first, I parked my car at the curb so he could put his car in first since 95+% of the time, I’m driving somewhere before he even gets up on Fridays.
