I’m glad I’m not just burbling into the Void with my commuting stories! And you might be interested in our fancy schmancy new trains
Nah, we aren’t making any monetary gain on the project, so there shouldn’t be any issues. SEGA is actually very lenient with fan projects.
Also Boofae and shoe, I’m glad y’all appreciate me spelling favourite correctly. Been doing it that way for years, so I’m too used to it now.
interesting thinking, he felt the urn or container would be totally enclosed and he would not see “bits”. a container plant he would see “chair dirt and bits”. visible vs invisible.
for those who are in a non compost state. you can be transported to the nearest compost state. for me it would be ny. should i have warning time ie hospice, i could hospice in ny and then go to compost. with no warning ie accident, i would be transported from funeral home in pa to facility in ny.

The heaving rather dragged on and on today. Plus all the last minute fixes and missorts. Especially since the Blue 128 folks apparently thought the Fae would wisk away their missorts without them having to bother with it. But I don’t mind working longer, just the fact that the Dumping Hell is already unbearably hot.
They are nice and fancy. But they remind me of a Vogon:
Sorry about the poodle poo, sticky. But glad Annie forgave you for a surprise bath.
Its gonna storm later.
Another day of reading. I feel okay though so theres that.
I hesitate to ask what sort of band…
Back from Food Lion. Thinking about maybe doing some yard work. Or not.
Oh hey! Real estate buddies. Have fun. Or whatever the real-estate-hell equivalent of “have fun” is.
Breakfast sandwich eaten, caffeinated, abluted, exercised, wordled and cross-worded. Phew!
The jambalaya came out good last night, although it’s impossible to find good andouille sausage here, so we’ll have that again for dinner. All sausage tastes like kielbasa here, regardless of what they’re calling it. I need a good recipe for andouille, or at least a good source.
Up before noon on my day off. What is this, hell?
The kind with a mosh pit, for sure.

my Last Friday Of The Month PTO Day though, where my mouth will be safe.
Way to jinx it.

Breakfast sandwich eaten, caffeinated
I started caffeinating at six. I’ll be caffeinating for a couple more hours, anyway. I wanted to try to make a soft-boiled egg, after receiving advice in the CS thread. But I need to work on my loaf of Sara Lee Delightful, so I made a scrambled egg sandwich. (I scrambled the eggs in the small cast-iron frying pan. The more I use it, the slicker it will get.)

The jambalaya came out good last night, although it’s impossible to find good andouille sausage here,
The dental technician and I were chatting about food every time the dentist came into the room. It turns out that she’s never eaten jambalaya. The dentist enthused about it, so I offered to send him my recipe (and the Vieux Carré recipe) when I got home. He, the tech, and the two women at the reception desk all wanted them. I hope they got them. (No ‘Thank you!’ in my email.)

The dentist enthused about it, so I offered to send him my recipe (and the Vieux Carré recipe) when I got home.
How about hooking me up with that. The recipe I used was okay, but it didn’t knock me out.

ETA I have half a packet of Teddy Bear!
I don’t like sunflower seeds, and most sunflowers give me a bit of trypophobia. Those are fluffy and short. Wonder if I can get those seeds here.
I also don’t like pumpkin seeds. So why do I have a bag of roasted pumpkin seeds in the cupboard?
Godbod, I swear I was thinking of you just the other day, and now you pop up again. Nice to see you.
Okay, hubby’s watching the last episode of Three Body Problem. I think I have to pay attention to figure out what’s going on.

How about hooking me up with that.
I tend to use more of the Holy Trinity, since I want to use the whole bell pepper. The recipe is for a big batch. I usually make a half-recipe. I make a bunch of Creole seasoning and keep the extra in a mason jar so that I don’t have to make it every time.
Well, brains is working..just not well. Packed up my bag to go swimming and got to the gym where I discovered I left my padlock at home. A lot of folks just hang there clothes and bags in the locker and leave them, I’m not quite that trusting of my fellow man, so if swimming is going to happen it will be this evening. Did pick up a newspaper and stopped at my eye Doctors for an appointment (only see him once every two years)–and I scored one tomorrow at 10:00am! (help me remember that…). So now waiting for the soccer to start on the TV and the rain to stop outside. About 65F now and probably not going to get much warmer.

Liquid poodle poo would be an awesome band name.

I hesitate to ask what sort of band…
Grunge I imagine…definitely not hard rock…
boo fae. thanks for the info, I follow a You Tuber named Geoff Marshall who posts videos about trains and the London Underground, will have to check and see if he posted about these… (just checked, not yet).
Onward!!
Oh, the Wife’s new battery in her RAV4 of course solved the starting problem. She had another issue: The car didn’t ‘sound right’ and seemed not to accelerate as it should. She had her oil changed last week. When the kids at Valvoline checked her air filter, they neglected to latch the air box. This would explain the noise; and, since the system wasn’t buttoned up properly, probably the acceleration issue. The guys at NAPA latched the air box, and the RAV is performing normally.
We both liked it better when the Valvoline oil change place was a Penzoil shop. The former had people – even ‘kids’ – who had been there a while. The new place seems to have a bunch of barely-trained ‘kids’ that aren’t there very long. Wifey was focused on getting her battery, and didn’t check the price of the oil change at NAPA. She said she might go there next time, and that I could go with her and take her home while it’s in there instead of her driving to Valvoline in the next town and sitting in line for an hour. (And who knows? Maybe we could grab a bite at the great new Indian restaurant across the street.)

Packed up my bag to go swimming…
I wish we had a public pool here. As it is, it’s coming up on 11:30. I should be dressed for my walk down the beach and back, but I’m sitting here typing and keeping an eye on irk. I have the dishwasher running. When I get back from my walk I’ll put it back where it belongs and try some Easy Off on the stove’s crusty drip pans. If it doesn’t destroy them, I’ll try it on the toaster oven’s pan.

Holy crap - one would think the realtor would have them de-clutter a tad, or at least empty the garbage can before taking photos!!
It was REALLY hard to see past the clutter, but I’ve been looking at a lot of homes recently and at least that one was clean!
All Hubs saw was the tractor. When reminded that the tractor probably didn’t carry, he pointed out that as long as he had storage for a tractor and all of the neighbors have tractors, maybe he could make an offer on the tractor as well.
We are both having second thoughts about the road. All of the roads in WV and narrow and windy, but that road is REALLY narrow and windy which would delay an ambulance if needed. He should be getting the inspection results tonight, so he’s still looking at other places.
He’s making a lot of noise about this one: https://www.bing.com/homes/2891-Lincoln-Hwy-Chapmanville-WV-25508/19474fc9-06f3-4936-95ed-a90be3608b7c_en-us--en-ca?form=000076
It has TWO riding lawn mowers in the shed and he thinks that because the new owners (adult children of the elderly woman who lived there) are putting their furniture up for grabs, they will probably include the mowers if asked.
He’s going to be really upset when I hide the keys until he agrees to wear a helmet.

FCD has a Dr appt - his MRSA is acting up again, poor baby.
That sucks! How long has he had it?

I agree with MOOOOOOM in that the realtor should have insisted on a big time declutter before takin’ pics
Here’s one for those who like horror shows. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/441-Middle-Lake-Rd-Mount-Nebo-WV-26679/2056220960_zpid/?msockid=4a093870fceb11eebecd0e50b041528b
Scroll down to the vanity.

JtC, Mrs W has become a hardcore minimalist in her old age. Looking at those pictures would probably give her a stroke.
Don’t show her the above link!

And some cuddles for GG; once you get the move done, is another cat in the plans?
Another cat is absolutely in the plans. If we weren’t moving, we probably would be trying do introduce him to a young adult right now. VBC never let him get past the kitten stage, so I’m hoping a young female might fall for his act.
Our fridge is pretty bare so I was planning on going to town today, but wanted to pick up surplus first. They gave us soooo many cherry tomatoes, some celery, bell and poblano peppers, onions and a pork loin. I’ve pretty much changed my mind about going to town, we still have plenty of stuff in the freezer and cans in the pantry.
Hubs on the phone, ttyl.
Not just clutter, but can’t someone close the terlit lids?? Really??
Not sure when MRSA first hit my poor sweetie but I think this is the 3rd round. The spots look nasty and he says they’re really painful. But the antibiotics seem to work.
I try to be patient but MIL is making me crazy. I’ve been in the same room with her most of the day, but she’s asked me twice if I picked up my lumber yet. I’m starting to think we may be creeping up on dementia. Both of her older sisters had it… dammit.
I did some raking and pruning out front. It started raining, so I came in. Then the rain stopped. Which means I have to water the clover seed again. Rah.
Pasta for supper. Not sure what kind yet. But the sauce is thawed.
the floors look nice in chapmanville… that is an odd vanity.
poor gg. tough time.
none of my cats got along enough to really grieve. they would look around for a few days, more of a “is it safe to cross the living room” way than i’m looking for the other cat.

My boss has started re-engaging today, which is a relief, but he’s definitely still not feeling great and I’m still running point on most stuff – including still being our chatty customer’s main POC. Heh. Yesterday was another long day/night, including the gym and a 9:00-10:30pm phone conversation with my grandboss (necessary, and that was the best time for both of us), so I’m really glad I have no plans this evening. Tomorrow evening I’ll start packing and getting organized for Friday morning’s drive up I-95 and the NJ Turnpike; this will be my last night “off” until Monday.
Happily, it’s another beautiful afternoon here: currently mostly sunny and 70°F. I did turn the heat on last night, because it got a bit chilly, but it’s been off again since lunchtime and I’m back to having some windows open.
My Lego globe set just got delivered! Woot! Now I have both that and R2-D2 to look forward to when I’m back from NJ (I’ll tackle R2 first).
JtC: Both places look like possibilities to me! I really like the shape of the kitchen doorframes/cased openings in the first place; kind of octagonal, which is unusual. But the second place feels a bit more…charming, maybe? Whatever you and hubs select, I’ll keep my fingers crossed!

Glad to be back here again.
Woo hoo!

I’m sorry; I feel like an ass being a trigger for you.
I nearly just snorted Gatorade Zero out of my nose: my snacking problem is definitely entirely my own. That was really sweet of you to say, but I soooo don’t notice/respond to/need external triggers! LOL!

I’ve been staring at this stoopit damn ham sandwich, and I don’t WANT it! { stomps feet }
Oh man, nothing makes me not want food more than when it’s something I should eat (like leftovers, freebies, vegetables, etc.).

I’m not superstitious, I’m just regular stitious.
I second doggio’s " " !
Wheelie that is pretty cool that you are getting to see baseball games across the country. What major league team is the Indy AAA team affiliated to? Cleveland?
metal mouse so I’m guessing that soccer is done before your vacation in June/July.

as long as he had storage for a tractor and all of the neighbors have tractors, maybe he could make an offer on the tractor as well.
hahahahaha. just what you need, right?
How close is the Chapmanville one to the relatives? Doesn’t look like it’s close to the other ones you were looking at. I’m just having good thoughts for you and Hubs to find one that suits the two of you.
Not much going on here other than the normal making all Hubs food, giving him pills, washing dishes, doping. Although the rain has been mercurial. I finally told Hubs to get a neighbor kid to mow the lawn. I don’t like paying somebody to do things that I could do but I’m overwhelmed and after doing the taxes, noticed that we could afford somebody else to mow.
