(Old) It's snacktime in the MMP!

I like that one. It looks like it has more natural light than the other. Is that a church next door?

Its 80 and about to have a cold front come through.
I filled out a form about life insurance and got a visit from a rep and got a $5 walmart gift card out of it.

Howdy Y’all! We procured and stowed provisions and proceeded to sloth around the rest of the day. We had an early sup and there are leftovers for Firday’s sup. Tomorrow is eat out day after my doc’s appointment. Thus are things here in swampland.

verwitt when I get overwhelmed with stuff I am reminded of St. Julian of Norwich. I repeat that many, many times and eventually start to calm down.

Wheelie yay for the upcomin’ baseball game. And yes, y’all will git 'e done.

Coppertone glad the antibiotics are workin’ for ya.

WetOne start the band. Liquid Poodle Poo will top the charts within a month.

BooFae I too look forward to your bin and train stories. I commute vicariously through you, which is fun cause I get to do it in front of my laptop whilst sippin’ coffee. The new trains look all fancified.

doggio perhaps the trains recite Vogon poetry at each stop.

MetalMouse DON’T FORGET ABOUT YOUR EYE APPOINTMENT AT 10:00 A.M. TOMORROW!

JtC this house looks like it has potential. Plus the possibility of a ridin’ lawn mower! HA!"! That is a horror show. I’m lookin’ at all that product on the vanity and think, “GEEZ! What do those folks look like before they get all shevelled.”

Good question; I had to look it up. Turns out they’re currently a Pittsburgh Pirates affiliate.
They were affiliated with Cleveland for a few years back in the ‘50s. They’ve also been a Cincinnati Reds franchise multiple times, the White Sox twice, the Boston Braves, the Pirates a different time, and the Phillies, Expos, and Brewers. They’ve been the “Indians” all along (since 1902, long before minor league teams had direct affiliations to MLB teams), and I’m not aware of any calls for them to change the name.

You are so right! It doesn’t matter that it is delish and something I super like, if I “have” to eat it, I don’t want to.

This is a first for us too. I will confess to being surprised that GG is able to mourn, I thought he would forget in a few days. But…this is the first time that GG has not been part of a colony and he’s just lost, the poor lil guy.

Are you noticing a theme with him?

How is your Hubs doing? Is he getting any strength back?

The Chapmanville place is almost two hours away from most of his close family, he’s got nieces and nephews all over the state. The other place was much closer, but all of his close family are as old as we are or older. Hubs was the youngest of his generation. Being closer to younger relatives could be useful.

I had pretty much talked myself out of the over-decorated place with the windy road, we are too old for that sort of thing anymore but hubs still wanted the acreage and tractor. Then he walked in and the ceilings are too low. He could reach over his head and touch them and he kept feeling like he needed to duck.

He’s going to make an offer on the Chapmanville place tomorrow, pending inspection. He’s the sort of buyer who walks in with a flashlight and a list, he gave it a good going-over and really likes it. I think its lovely and that the kitchen would work much better than the one with the stove in a box. I’ve had a oven mounted in the wall before and I like it much better than the traditional ones.

We will have to have a dishwasher installed and all of the appliances are pretty dated so will probably need to be replaced in the next five years.

I do like it a bunch…except it is bigger than what we have now and stuff happens.

Had 2 pop tarts, a bowl of strawberries, and some crackers. I may go see how much I weigh at the pharmacy tomorrow.
Hope to get my apetite back.

Allie says he can have Buddy. DH, Buddy, and I all disagree with her.

Poor Allie, Buddy is just the sort of guy that GG would love for a buddy, but GG likes chasing and bouncing off the walls. Allie is much too refined for that sort of nonsense.

That was my first thought when I saw it too, LOL!!! Nope, that’s a home. I wouldn’t have any problem with it being a church, they tend to be pretty quiet and well maintained. Hubs would get grumpy because we would be parked in on Sundays, but we are retired and we are heathens. We don’t need to go anywhere on Sundays so what does it matter if a few people park in our driveway once a week.

So, I’ve got some shrimp stuffed poblano peppers in the oven. I only made half the recipe because I don’t think they can be successfully frozen. The peppers should last for another week, so hopefully I’ll be able to use them for something Hubs likes when he gets home. Everything grows in WV, so I should be able to grow my own peppers in the back yard.

The interior reminds me of a friend’s place in Indiana.

Poor GG. Hugs to you, him and your hubby.

Nope. Food Lion, aka Fud Kitty.

I hope that she’s feeling better.

While some folks make this a habit, sometimes, it’s an honest mistake or catastrophe. I ordered Mexican online once, only to find out that I ordered from a place 60 miles away. Another time, I went to pick up Chinese takeout and had a flat tire. Stuff happens.

Back to flashing today. My hopefully new boss (she’s currently my senior lead) gave permission to resume cartonizing anything my partner or I flash (IB decided that once that contract became its own department, that they needed to take that over, totally upsetting the balance of our irk).

Nelson and Lupito across the fence sucessfully defended the neighbor kid and I from Bella, the old dog two doors down (small terrier mixes think they’re big dogs sometimes) this afternoon.

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

I only walked 4 miles today, but it was sunny, and I felt almost sick with fatigue. Sunshine is not good for people with lupus, but I’m still in remission (I think. I hope.)

I’ll get a bonus visit from my daughter on May 1st. Her hubs has to be in town for work, so she’s going to take vacation days she needs to use and come along. They’ll only be here one day, but I take what I can get. It’s shot day, but she said she’d be happy to come along.

Speaking of shots…I used to have to get one in each arm, but Xolair now comes in a stronger dose, so I only need to get poked once. I know you’ve been wondering. I started replying to posts yesterday, but I never finished. Geez, nellie

Cookie, I are a idiot. I forgot that you’re a top-notch genealogist. Sorry about that!

Same. I once had an ophthalmologist accidentally nick my eyelid with the scalpel he was using to remove corneal stitches, and I’ve been wary ever since. They do have a gizmo to hold the eye open, but maybe it gets in the way. Hope your procedures are a piece of cake and that the swollen retina calms down!

Us, too!

Hey, they named a type of Doritos after the coolest of American bears, @swampbear! I wonder why they stopped selling them there. The US isn’t exactly popular these days. Maybe someone held a bag hostage or something.

If you can find your dad’s Apple ID, Apple should be able to help you get in there. If you can’t find the Apple ID, they can still help you, but it’ll take months. I learned the hard way to record my Apple ID in several places. And I agree with the others that it was better that your wonderful husband went without you this time.

Did you like playing in the dirt when you were a little girl? Just curious. I made mud pies, but, I’m ashamed to say, refused to dig too deep because “There are BUGS down there!” While I’m sure you could have made a mean mud pie, I imagine you building little dams and locks and things.

Roxie looks more and more like you, I think.

flyboy, I’m sorry about the crown. Yikes.

doggio, the clipped ear makes Spot look more badass. Why do I feel like he needs a gold hoop earring? (P.S. Have you decided to postpone finding a dog? I may have missed something.)

That’s so unfair. And I don’t want to think about underworld types repossessing teeth. shudder

I’m a member of that club, too. A former boyfriend told me something that has helped me a LOT: It makes more sense to focus on the probables. If I’m worried about my kids driving over the snowy pass, for instance, I focus on the fact that thousands of cars go over that pass in iffy weather, and 99.99% of them make it just fine. Somehow it helps me to know that it’s really unlikely the bad thing would happen.

I’d better go back to reading posts.

Annie as a Grunge singer? Hmmm…

I say this very lightly because I understand there may be a connotation to what I’m about to suggest. But, what about taking it to the actual dealer every once in awhile? Yes, I know it might cost a bit more and that they might try to upsell about 25,000 other things, however, there’s a chance that they might be right about 1 or 2 things that a little independent LOF place wouldn’t even think to check. Yes, I did used to work at a dealership, why do you ask? Still, maybe it would be something to consider. Or maybe not. IDK.

If you move here, I’ll HAVE to come visit since you’ll be right on the Lincoln Highway!!!

Thank you for the information. And, yes, my husband is wonderful. :purple_heart:

Well, Ms. Annie appears to be fine now. However, after this traumatic day I wouldn’t blame her if it happened again. Between me being gone most of the day and lots of moving around with the unloading of my school stuff, and then a really, really bad thunderstorm, I am happy she’s as calm as she is.

Maybe I can take a page out of her book and chill until it’s time for me to go pick up MusicMan.

I don’t remember seeing it covered by Good Eats.

My awareness of it came from Destinos.

I loved Good Eats!

We’ve had it happen twice, with Buddy, having in in his harness with a leash, taking him out to see someone that I was sure he’d want to see, and he freaked out, managed to slip out of his harness, and ran off.  The first of those times, he was gone for hours before he came home, worrying both of us greatly.  Second time, he just ran back into the apartment.

Just started a new job/project, yesterday, building a Wendy’s in Linda, California, a short way south of Marysville.

I have a cousin, named Wendy, and I notified her via Facebook to let her know that I am building a restaurant in her honor.

I have always been Team Dandelions! It used to drive my mom crazy.

That’s why I only take Roxy into the back yard. She once got a wild hair and raced up our one big tree, then panicked about getting down and twisted out of the harness. Luckily, she just ran to the back door.

I would love that! Is Annie big enough to play with GG? He’s good with dogs and he likes to play chase-chase.

Our leash walking feral cat once pounced on a dove while I was distracted and knew that I wouldn’t let him keep it so squirmed right out of his harness and jumped the fence to sit in the road while he frantically ripped feathers off his kill.

GG will not be allowed loose in the car and will be confined to the bathroom when we are in the hotel. I will not lose him because Hubs is a softy who thinks I’m mean to the furrbutts.

Spot: < casts post litterbox zoomies >
dogbutler’s thorax: < fails saving throw verses cat trampling >
But I had a martini and chicken with egg noodles and cheese sauce, so all is well.

Big terrier mixes think they are even bigger(Gordie v. 160lbs. Sicilian mastiff, Gordie v. 150lbs. 10 point Whitetail buck)

Well, I’m waiting to see how things shake out at work, before I adopt someone. But for those of you following along with Deathpool: Brown edition 166 slots in Preload, 216 people more senior than me, so 50 is the magic number.

Train: “Oh freddled gruntbuggly,
Thy micturations are to me,…”
Me: < hurls self into gap >

I, as well.

Gordie missed Teddie the 180lbs. Shepard mix when he passed, but all the rest were more like “Oh no. Anyways, may I eat their share of food now?”

Hi ya’ll

This is another busy week. Middle school and high school kids take up time.

Because I work less than full time hours but my wife’s work is busy, I’m doing most of the cooking and lots of the housework. Many things to do.

I have a stress disorder and it takes a lot of work to keep things going smoothly.

Fortunately, things are getting better lately.

Sorry I can’t reply more.

Tis ok. Thanks for posting.
