(Old) Late morning for the MMP

Happy Birthday @nelliebly! :birthday_cake:

Happy birthday

In zebra stealth mode, no less.

Happy birthday nellie! :birthday_cake:

That possibility scared the crap out of me when I got Nelson as a puppy. I trained him with the good treats to respond to back ! If I drop one now, he’ll stay back upon command until I get it picked up.

I’m hooooooommmmmeeeee! I’ve even given the apartment a little love (cleaned out the fridge, done the dishes, swept and put away stuff from my travel bag). Tomorrow, I’ll need to do some laundry, Tuesday, I’ll go to the doctor and Wednesday I’ll need to shop for groceries. I may even mess around in the studio this evening.

Happy birthday Nellie! The world became a kinder place when you were born

Hurray! Now STAY HOME!!!

Do you have a medical plan to avoid more of this in the future or did they just send you home to figure it out?

If they have nice frames, send them to the thrift store. Used frames tend to sell very well as long as they are in good shape.

And I do understand what you mean. The things on our walls have meaning to us, they won’t be special to anyone else.

Happy madness, I hope it all went well.

There wasn’t a lot of traffic on the way to the capital and not a whole lot of cars driving by either. High gas prices tend to restrict weekend shopping trips, I’ve noticed the lack of tourist traffic on the highway as well.

George got his loveseat back yesterday, but the trim still feels too soft to trust so nothing is going back on the walls yet. I don’t get the paint issues. We bought Sherwin Williams because I wanted something durable and we both kinda thought that was good quality paint.

I used the Lowes brand of paint in our last place and it dried in a couple of hours. I guess I shoulda cheaped out this time too.

So I have a documentary ready to watch and my project is sitting right here, so I guess I’ll just play with string for the rest of the evening. Have great rest of the day, everyone!

Howdy Y’all! I have managed to go all day without nappage. I think I shall sleep well tonight. We went over to the Parish Hall after deheathenization and the coffee hour hosts went all out. There were little chikin sallit sammiches, chips, cheese, olives, fruit cups and donuts. We et lunch there, seriously! Then we got back to da cave where I futzed a bit while OYKW achieved nappage. Then I went back to the church house for my group and decided to stick around for the healin’ service. We have healin’ services on the third Sunday of each month and the first Wednesday. I hadn’t been to a healin’ service in years and had forgotten how nice they are. Also glad I stuck around cause there was a hyuuuuge tstorm that seemed to pop up outta nowhere. I would have been drivin’ in it had I not stayed. When I got back to da cave, I made myself a rollup tortilla sammich and watch a little stoopid teevee. Now I shall soon betake myself to bed as da bear is tahrd!

J_Bats :: skritches :: for Bob! He looks so keeyoote in his “prison stripes!”

BooFae you deserve to have a grrr!

MetalMouse you forgot to tell us of today’s dinin’ excursion. How can we survive without such vital info!

Knotty true talent would be to pole dance while on skates. Imagine the tips! BTDT with pills. This is now why I carry the entire pill caddy with me to the kitchen to get water. I then open the day’s pills, swallow, and drink water whilst standin’ over the counter. This gettin’ old bidness ain’t for sissies! NASCAR and WWE all rolled up in one! Now that’s gettin’ one’s money’s worth!

Taters that’s hilarious about Zeus lettin’ y’all have it. At some point we will probably watch the Lizzie Borden thing, but it is not a priority.

Oopsie glad you had such a good early bday lunch and got such a cool gift! I will make sure vehicle is washed before I go on a trip. I think my mother would haunt me if I didn’t. She always insisted on that. Enjoy the bday lunch with dad and bro today. Glad you get to show 'em your new digs.

CupCakes good for your church!

JtC those videos sound cool!

MOOOOOOM do you mean like goose with a blue ribbon around its neck country stuff?
< GAG! >

red so glad you’re back home!

And now this…

< AHEM > CLEARIN’ THROAT < AHEM >

HAAAPPPYYY BIIIRRRTTTHHHDDDAAAYYY TOOOOOO YOUUUUUU!!!
HAAAPPPYYY BIIIRRRTTTHHHDDDAAAYYY TOOOOOO YOUUUUUU!!!
HAAAPPPYYY BIIIRRRTTTHHHDDDAAAYYY DEEEAAARRRNNNEEELLLIIIEEE!!!
HAAAPPPYYY BIIIRRRTTTHHHDDDAAAYYY TOOOOOO YOUUUUUU!!!

Evening all. Gym was gymed and Big Bowl of Pasta eaten, so all is well in this tiny part of the world. Need to do a couple more things tonight and then head off to bed to be ready for the new week. Got a little rain this afternoon, but still 81F outside so the cooling trend ain’t here yet.

JtC, hope you had a good, indeed a capital, day… And I have Sherwin Williams on my home walls and it’s always been reliable for me.

FCM, never did much work with clay, IIRC I have a rather mutated-looking dachshund from 8th grade somewhere in my archives, but that was about it. I’ve got a few pictures of my parents and family around the house, but they certainly don’t dominate the place.

Cat Glove, good luck on the squirrel abatement project, but I doubt it will be more than a temporary fix. Enjoy Bark at the Park, that is such a great name for it.

doggio, happy Hockey time! And roomie is fond of racecars, I see.

red, so glad you are home, hopefully you can stay there for a couple decades now.

swampy, yeah, I have had ‘pop-up’ thunderstorms yesterday and today, supposed to get another one while I sleep tonight. As for dining, I spent most of those calories Saturday night at 5 Guys, so settled for Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts this morning and Fettuccine Alfredo this evening, with a couple small bags of pretzels and a couple hundred calories of Butter Pecan ice cream mixed in. Should be done for the day, if I snack something else I’ll just ‘carry-over’ the calorie count to tomorrow…

And that’s all for now, if I don’t make it back to the MMP for a late night final all y’all take care and I’ll see you next week.

Nah, Sundays are generally quite chill. Today was no exception.

S.M. even sent me out for coffee, for her & the dough roller, and told me to get myself whatever I wanted, too. Since 1a.) I’d never betray someone’s confidence using their CC, and 2b.) my caffeine tolerance ain’t what it used to be, I just got myself a small mocha. Twas yum.

We were, however, short one crew. Last thing I heard S.M. say to her last night was, “See you tomorrow. AT THREE.” (She has a history of calling out, being late, etc.)

Guess who didn’t show up today, at all? Called out last Sunday, too. I kinda wanted to ask whazzup, but that would be a bit nosy (not my circus, nunna my bidness, etc.)

However, I’d love to know the tea … especially cuz the back-of-house grumbling is that she’s been getting away with this crap forever, because she’s the sister of the current G.M. and, well, yanno, nepotism: if it’s good enough for the White House, it’s good enough for a pizza franchise.

Stay 'tooned for possible future gossip, if I learn anything juicy.

Got home before twilight, in time to let Monks roll around in some 'nip on the driveway.

Oh yeah, a while ago some of us were chatting about catnip, and one of the teenagers was horrified to learn that people deliberately allow their cats to get high. (She does not partake.) Like, she had no idea this was a thing, let alone believe us that it is harmless.

Bless your heart, hun.

For now, I’m enjoying a slightly-more-than-half moon, a cool & gently breezy evening, and several hours of low-responsibility (I mean, I could go retrieve the laundry ) chillin’ time listening to the season’s last frogs & crickets.

Oh, as I was leaving, S.M. said good night, and added, “Tell Monkey & Pretzel I said hi!”

Me: “I will! One will get scritcheeez, one will … uh, not.”

TL/DR Summary: calm shift; free (to me) fancy coffee; co-worker practically immune from firing but trying real hard anyway; cat is high and swaggering 'round glowing & purring.

I consulted with a nutritionist in the hospital and came home with (more) prescriptions, so I’m hoping that things level out.

You lived in an arid climate in your last home. Humidity does make a difference.

I finished up the bookmark cards that I had begun before I took time out to be sick. I think I’ll make another set of them to give to the staff at the infectious disease doc’s office when I finish up there.

This makes me smile. So glad you’re home and creating.

Difference in altitude and humidity levels?

(Oops, I see missred ninja’ed me on the humidity-great minds and all)

Those bookmark cards are lovely!

Hope your birthday is everything you want and nothing you don’t want. Lots of hugs from afar.
