Well said, I totally agree.
Thank you for the clear explanation. He hasn’t actually started looking for places, but when next he brings it up I will share what you explained.
So, I just got the call from the vet. Jolene no longer has a UTI but she does have Ovarian Remnant Syndrome. I’ll make some calls tomorrow, but she probably won’t be able to be re-spayed for a few weeks due to vets being so busy out here.
I do want to say how proud I was of GG today. My room has a side window that looks out at the front porch. You can also see the front door. Of course there is a kitty tree next to the window and GG likes to sit there and watch us come home. Today he figured out that he was looking at the outside of the door he sees us come in. I could see him looking at us and the door and then back at us. Suddenly a new brain wrinkle was formed and he ran out of sight to greet us at the front door. What a smart kittah!!!
Wow, how wonderful for him. You must be so proud!
Of course we have a generator, he bought it when he bought the trailer we were going to use to take our trash to the dump (which hasn’t happened so far, he just pulls the big can out to the street like always). We can cook and heat one room and would be OK for quite a while except we don’t have a way to keep the internet working. We would last about a day without it so if the roads were drive-able, we would go find ourselves a cat-friendly motel for a while.
I really don’t see that happening here. Mostly I think the roads will get sloppy and we won’t want to go to the sto. Hubs thinks we need a 4-wheel vehicle and I’m trying to forestall that conversation for as long as possible. Like after one of us hits a deer.
Oh, fun fact. Elk are not native to Arizona. Elk were imported from Yellowstone and West Virginia long before AZ became a state. Elk thrive in AZ because of the mild winters and ample forage. Elk in West Virginia died out when the forests were clear cut. People wanted elk back so brought some in to restart the population. 60 of them came from AZ.
Ya gotta love them
I get along with sniks just fine, but a phobia is an uncontrollable fear. It would sound trite to compare them to allergies, but they really are a physical reaction to external stimuli.
We usually tip just fine, but this was the sort of place that you order at the counter, fill your own drink and bus your own table. Hubs usually drops a couple of bucks in the tip jars, but ain’t nobody gets to tell me that I am too old to figure out how to order a pizza online and still gets tipped.
As the food was till good, I looked at their website when we got home. Not only could I figure it out, I saw a few other things that weren’t on the paper menu.
Oh gosh, you have SUCH a sense of humor!
Our TV is still in the moving box. The kitty toys are unpacked and shelved. We do have priorities after all!!!
