I’m up and off, so I thought I’d start the MMP. Wait, is anybody besides shoe working this week?
I hope I’ll work this week!
Great title.
I have an interview at 9.
Just decided to fill out an application; its not a food place, per se, a convenience place.
Cross fingers.
Morning, mumpers! It’s currently 18c/64f with a predicted high of 26c/78f and partly cloudy. Weather app says “Does that one cloud look like a fucking dickhead?” Can’t really tell, it’s more like a blanket of cloud out there.
I’m working this week although I’m not sure how productive that’s likely to be! Most of our academic staff are on leave, my team manager is on leave, and things are fairly quiet until Friday when all our supplementary assignments are due to come in. Who knows?
Hey, BooFae, how was the fundraiser?
Sticky Buns it went really well! We raised £281 which was very good for an afternoon. The place was busy but very loud (even by my standards!), especially since we were right by the sound stage. Anyway, we managed to raise a decent amount, and we didn’t get rained on, so that’s a win-win for us.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 76 Amurrkin out and cloudy/windy, with a predicted high of 80 with rain predicted throughout the day. We are under a tropical storm watch so rain and wind is expected. I’m supposed to get twuck back today, but if’n that does not happen due to weather I’m good with it, as this is a good day to stay inside and dry. RDOS inactivity is the agenda for today. Sup shall be steak, sallit, and cheesey garlic bread cause 'tis easy and I am lazy.
BooFae yay on the great fundraiser!
Coppertone appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed re the interview.
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day! Rah.
Happy Moanday Y’all!
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off today. I need to venture forth to the Likker Sto, and Tar-Jay at some point.
< crosses appropriate and inapropriate appendages >
Always!
It is a beautiful foggy morning and Bella is reasonably quiet. I’ll be calling the vet in five minutes, here’s hoping we can get this resolved soon.
I hope your equipment gets fixed soon shoe but I learned long ago to not trust corp to make good decisions when it comes to the comfort of their employees. You folks are still selling pizzas, why should they spend money to make it easier on you?
Congrats on the fund raiser BooFae. Hurray for the kitties
Well, craptastic - I managed to lose the post that was almost done. Let’s see what I can remember -
Last time I had to get up for a real job was December 2019, so I really don’t have anything to contribute to the topic - like that matters in the MMP
FCD has headed to the boat, but he’s decided to let the younger guys do the work down there because he’s been experiencing new and disturbing pains. He actually rested most of the last 2 days - well, except for installing the new battery charger. He’s going today to discuss the change in plans with the head electrician. We’re both worried that he could end up unable to operate the boat and we’d have to sell. I wish I could persuade him to quit eating junk and work on losing some poundage - I’m sure that’s part of the problem. His spine is overloaded. Not sure if he’s motivated enough.
SIL will be bringing the grands to play in the basement for a little bit while he gets a tow truck here to take the HHR (which is parked in our yard) to the body shop. I need to keep them away from MIL - they’ve both had fevers this weekend. I doubt they’ll be here an hour - depends on the tow truck, I guess.
MIL slept almost 20 hours yesterday. The slightest exertion seems to exhaust her. I’ll be talking to the hospice nurse about that today. She’s been accepting more help from me - like not insisting on making her own lunch (as if should could find what she needs in the fridge.) It’s gotten to where every time she goes to sleep, I wonder if she’ll wake.
FCD just called - some guy hit him - deployed airbags and everything, dammit. He says his ribs and his ear are hurting. I need to shower and plan to get him. Dammit.
Not so happy Moanday here. Dammit.

Hope the interview went well, Coppertone!

I had to reschedule for tomorrow.
I went to the bus stop.
Started to feel nauseous and faint.
Didn’t take the bus. Walked back to apt.
Felt same so called an ambulence.
They said my bp was 130/80. Which is ok.
I had my cake but no time for protein.
I have felt low blood sugary a few times in my life but never faint.
No I am not at all diabetic, that was checked last week.
MusicMan just called me and was in a car accident. All I know is that he’s ok. That’s all that matters. Ugh.

This is turning into a bad Monday for Mumpers.

Boy howdy, this week is not starting off well at all. Hope all is well. Only Moanday mishap here was eating a banana before taking my medicine that is supposed to be taken on an empty stomach, but that just meant waiting 90 minutes or so for digestion to take it’s course. It’s a 5-S day here (Shopping-Sammich-Swim-Sauna-Soccer) so should be fairly active. 81F already and heading to 93F with almost no chance or rain.
Boo fae, glad the donations went well. I expect it’s easier when the ‘dollar’ bill is a coin instead of a piece of paper (we’ll make it to the 21st century here someday…)
swampy, stay dry and considering the other notes, be careful out there.
And that’s all for now. Will try to keep up with developments, and the rest of you BE CAREFUL OUT THERE.

Well wishes to Coppertone.
Jeeze louise! Be careful folks, I hope the only damage is to the vehicles and that it is minor and covered by insurance.
Off to my doctors to check.
Good morning.
It’s 58F and sunny at present. It’ll be mainly sunny today with a high temperature of around 84F.
I’ll have to look at the last part of last week’s MMP to catch. I was busy over the weekend and just didn’t have a chance.
This week is not starting well for some folks, and I’m genuinely sorry.
My son came up late Friday morning to hang out with us and the pups. He stayed overnight and went and home yesterday morning. It was great hanging out with him and the pups loved it.
JtC, I hope you can get Bella in quickly.
Boofae, I’m so happy the fundraiser went well.
I’m off this week and next, and I don’t really have firm plans. I plan to head up somewhere in the mountains sometime this week or next and knock out an early morning hike. I want to arrive as the sun is rising to ensure I get a decent parking spot and so the trail is less people.
I haven’t hiked like I did in years past because many trails have become too crowded. Additionally, to me, the whole point of getting out on those trails is to get away from people and noise and commune with nature. I want to listen to the bird calls and the chattering of chipmunks, marmots, or pikas and carefully and quietly note the presence of bears and/or cougars.
It’s hard to do that when people are being assholes with noise. Nowadays, people are blasting music on the trails (really, really pisses me off), trampling and destroying our wildflower meadows for that perfect Instagram picture, and just being selfish twats. Plus, they’re leaving their trash in the backcountry or along trails and totally disregarding the whole Leave No Trace theory. You pack out what you pack in.
Anyhow, I plan to find one of the less traveled trails and hike there.
I plan to get my hair done-did tomorrow. I’m very overdue for a haircut and a little toning.
I need to knock out some more yard work and I plan to visit my favorite nursery to see about getting a tree delivered and planted where I had to remove a dead tree. I miss that tree, damn it.
That is the extent of my plans. I thought about flying out to Missouri for a few days, but my son wants us all to fly out together, so that means I’d need to board the dogs, and I don’t want to fly out there twice in the space of a couple of months because that kind of eats up the funds.
Alrighty, time to feed the pups breakfast and get on with the day.
