I went to Aldi, grabbed some lunchmeat, filled up Carmen, and stopped and got cat food for Spot, and a bag of chicken liver treats for Spot. I had Bojangles for lunch since I was in the area, I took a nap. Roomie and I went for a walk around the complex, she did the stairs don to the apartment for the first time in a decade. Spot enjoyed his munchies.

My surgery is scheduled for May 7th. My daughter has already said she’s coming, but son says it’s his turn. I’ll let them work it out. Whoever comes will have to walk Sir Charles the next evening if I can’t, but that’s an inducement, not a burden.
Lily, surgery prep stinks. So does not being able to pick up your kitties afterward. Wishing you the best and a smooth, swift recovery!

So my day went well, I hit 3 dispensaries in WV and one in OH. The WV ones all wanted to give me swag but I’m not going to wear their sunglasses or baseball hats so I turned them all down. I only wanted one pre-roll(ed marijuana cigarette) for the doob tube (hard plastic, flip-top package) and spent $4.20 in Ohio to learn that those cheap bastids sold their pre-rolls in sealed one-use cellophane sleeves like straws come in.
We went to the great Mexican place for linner and then got stuck behind a semi on the way home. Semi-trucks do not do well on WV mountain roads, so we were SEVEN minutes late for kitty feeding time. We have agreed that we won’t tell our cat-sitter about how abused our fuzzbutts were, I didn’t want to call her last minute and I know she thinks homework is important.
They both survived, but it was really close. George was already belly up when we opened the door and Jolene was passed out from hunger.

Does Aldi have the Pure brand for cat food and treats? I checked out the nutrition on the salmon and sweet potato dog kibble and it was nearly identical to what I’d been paying 3X the price for at Chewy. Nelson loves it and I save money.
They don’t do well in southwest Virginia and east Tennessee either (says the person who spent 23 miles on TN 33 in second gear behind a semi).

I finally got tired of fluffing around with mobile mechanics who either didn’t return calls or didn’t show when they did. I called the Hyundai dealership today, they recommended a towing service, called them and sent my car off to the dealership to get diagnosed and fixed. After that, depending on what the charges are, I’ll have the oil changed, the TX inspection done, a front plate bracket installed and get my Texas tags.
BippityBoppityBoo and I had a mini dopefest this morning, along with her friend Olga and my wife. It was a lovely time at our favorite Kosher Bagel place

Howdy Y’all! Been home a bit from men’s night over to the church house. We had a good crowd and, as usual, solved all the world’s problems but no one ever listens to us. We stopped at the good snausage place on the way over and got some jalapeño/cheddar cheese and some Vidalia onion/cheddar cheese snausages to grill for appetizers. YUM! They got snarfed down in a hurry! The price wasn’t bad either.

Lily just think, soon it will all be over and you can eat real food again. I get to eat lemon and lime Jell-O and slurp broth on Wednesday. I also get to drink the big ick jug of stuff. Well, half Wednesday evenin’ and half early early Thursday. That looks like a happy kitteh!

Same in Wyoming. I always referred to the 65 mph speed limit as semi-fiction because car drivers went faster until the inevitable semi, which went slower. And as you both know, you can’t pass 'em on winding mountain roads, though some fools do anyway.
My mind is so filled with 4/20 stuff today that at first I thought you meant you got together and shared a j. I know better, but I’ve got weed on the brain–not literally, as I don’t partake. SO cool you two–er, four–were able to get together, though!

It varies a lot by cat. Some get zoomies, some get very mellow, some don’t react at all one way or the other. I’ve personally been owned by some who didn’t even react to it at all and some who would start campaigning for a dose if they heard anything from the kitchen that sounded like the nip bag (I keep it in the fridge to improve storage life).
