(Old) Summer camp in the MMP

Happy Birthday, Taters! I hope it was a good one, full of all the things you enjoy!

Our last housekeeper loved going on cruises because there was no chance of having to deal with home stuff when she was in the middle of the ocean. She didn’t care where the cruise was going, she just wanted to be out of touch with other people making her food and entertaining her.

I could do with some of that right about now.

Yesterday, hubs learned that the termite inspection showed evidence of them in the shed. The owners won’t be able to get anyone out until the 29th so it looks like our closing will be delayed a week or so.

I took that as a good excuse to take a day off and spent several hours stitching. (I am so far behind, I’m not going to finish this one before sending a check for next year’s project.) I couldn’t really do anything more anyhow, half of our dinner table is covered with stuff that needs to be donated and I hate not having a clear table. I will fix that tomorrow.

A friend had asked me about the big plastic planter under our bedroom window and I told her she could have it, so she wanted to come and get it once it cooled down. That was good timing, the flowers were starting to get a little peaky looking so I was planning on watering tomorrow. It was a five foot wide planter, that would have been a lot of wet dirt to try to lift.

And I just figured out that GG really is smarter than we thought. He’s figured out that not only does he get his treats in his crate…if one of us walks through the living room and GG scrambles to get into his crate first, that same one of us will give GG some bonus treats for being such a good boy.
