Due to this thread, I remembered that TC friend is a licensed Hospice and Home Health RN who is allowed to give these sort of shots to her patients. I asked her if she could give them to friends and she said yes, but I would have to fill out the paperwork and give her my insurance information. I don’t know if she charges, but I will probably offer her a twenty each time because I understand that living rural comes with a convenience fee.
She did say that she wouldn’t do Covid shots because she couldn’t just order just one dose and wouldn’t be able to use a whole bottle before it expired.
So I’ll drive allllllllllll the way to town for Covid and then have TC friend shoot me before the next couple of TC classes.
I figured out that my real aversion to the trips is the whole donning of the bra thing. I don’t really mind the drive at all, there is a lot of pretty country between here and there, it is just the getting dressed thing that is so bothersome.
So, today I have a new question for folks. NF asked me to go to the handmade store and pick up some fudge for her. The fudge is made and sold by a single mom who needs every penny she can get. I went to the store today and the fudge was on sale, but of course I reminded the shop owner that I get a special deal where I always pay full price and left her with cash in her hands while she was trying to figure out my logic.
So, I know that NF will want to pay for the fudge. If I tell her that it was on sale but I still paid full price as a gift to the young mother, I know that NF will insist on paying full price as well…but I don’t feel as though she should be obligated to pay more for something just because I felt like giving a voluntary donation.
I hate to lie to friends because I’m too lazy to remember that I told a lie and usually always end up outting myself.
What say the smartest folks on the planet?
Dang about the finger shoe. Keep an eye on your nail, if you wanged it enough, the nail will probably want to come off and it is super easy to get a seriously painful snag on a partly detached nail.
I was kinda surprised the fire department didn’t show up as well. Thank goodness the boy didn’t do this a couple of years ago, he would have been so happy to see the boys in blue show up that he’d start calling every week. The mom is very embarrassed but we think it was just one of those kids will be kids things.
Why not both? Many people are like me and need to get kicked in the butt just to get up and get one shot, remembering to get three is hard. Getting them all at once insures that the patient will get all of them instead of forgetting one or more. Of course this will increase their convenience, but maybe not their sales volume. I’ve never once walked in to get a shot and not bought an impulse item (usually a booze bomb) on my way out. Three shots at once means one booze bomb instead of three bought separately.
Is dynamite an option?
That reminds me, I wanted to ask if you get a sleeper or sit in an assigned seat all the way. I’ve been looking at train rides and roomettes look like a pretty attractive option for long trips. I’m actually thinking that I might cancel my mid-point hotel rooms and take the train to Dallas because my hotel parking lot there will get over two minutes of total occlusion, so I won’t need to go anywhere once I’m checked in.
FCM, if the dragon doesn’t go to a child, please let me know as long as you won’t be offended if it ends up getting dragged around and yelled at. VBC claims all of my plushies over time.
