(Old) The MMP is the place to be!

It’s raining with a predicted high of 40. My plan for today is PT, and getting the Christmas storage boxes out of the garage. My tree comes down this weekend.

This morning I took my first shot of compounded semaglutide for weight loss. I’m doing this through Weight Watchers. I take Dupixent for nasal polyps, but that is a prefilled pen. This I had to draw into a syringe. I’ve given Ariel a handful of shots so the concept isn’t completely freaking me out.

I ordered 4 boxes of Girl Scout cookies. I plan to take 3 to the barn. Keeping the Do Si Dos for myself.

Morning everyone. It is raining and has been all night. I can still see a few patches of snow up under the trees but it will melt off today. It is 51F and we’ve gotten an inch an a half of rain out of this storm so far.

Besides going to the gym, not a lot is going to happen today. The light will be good for doing white work this afternoon and that is the extent of my plans.

That is so wonderful, love heals so much. Great pics!

Good luck with the interviews, I’m sure you will rock them. I know that you will become a treasured asset where ever you land.

Sounds like a hanging offense to me!

This.

Now there is a bill going through the house to restrict access to all forms of birth control. I know women who voted for this. All respect for them is gone now.

Yanno something that just fascinates me? The Appalachians are older than the KT boundary. All of the geological formations I’m used to looking for are missing now that I’m living in an “older” part of the world. It’s just strange and sometimes confusing because I don’t really know what I’m seeing in the rocks anymore. Learning is a good thing and I’ve got a bunch of learning to do in these new OLD lands.

Another weird (to me) thing. Supposedly we live in the mountains and it certainly looks that way. Our home is about 100ft above than sea level. In AZ, at 3400 ft above sea level, I could look across flat desert and see the light glow from Phx or Prescott depending on which way I was looking. Now I can’t even see three blocks away in any direction.

Good luck grand wrangling. I hope Trevor doesn’t drag too much mud in.

Chances are good that if someone had come in, they would have sat on the box of pepperoni next to you and shared some tears.

Was it super hard to give up the idea of driving again? I know that day will come for me and I am so not looking forward to it.

Yeah, cats aren’t the only lying liers who lie. I’m glad she enjoyed her second breakfast

That is great, it is good to hear happy words from you. Dang about the truck, though.

What’s this about UPS cutting back on Amazon deliveries? Is that because UPS is sick of Amazon underpaying them or because Amazon usage has dropped suddenly?

That’s usually how I plan menus for the week

That’s not great, I hope she learns to focus soon.

That is about the only thing I miss about working. It was great to be able to put food out in the break room and know that it would be gone by the end of the day.

JtC do you use a special lamp for needlework? I want to get back into needlepoint but no light in my house is strong enough.

I have a magnifying lamp available, but mostly I sit next to the French doors for the natural light.

I really want one of these but if I put out that much money for a lamp, I would have to use it instead of wandering around the house to sit by different windows as the light moves.

More explanation, please? Did I miss something?

I wondered, but didn’t want to pry. I believe he’s working in a different country now, so it would make sense to get a room there.

I’m obviously not JtC, but I use an Ott Lite for most of my precision work. I specifically like the one that I linked to because you can drag it around and position it just where you want the light.

Speaking of sewing stuff, my new sewing machine is crappity crap crap. Yes, I should have known because of the price. Fortunately, there is a very old sewing machine upstairs that I had forgotten about which may work. MusicMan is going to carry it downstairs for me and I’ll start to investigate whether it works or whether I need a new, quality one.

I’ve been working on taxes today and trying to take breaks when I can no longer breathe due to anxiety. I’ve got mine mostly done, I just need to have MusicMan around when I’m doing his in case I have any questions.

I’d also like to extend major hugs to shoe, nellie, taters, and all of those struggling with what is going on these days. I am grateful for each and everyone of you and send much love your way.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Not much change from yesterday, but trying to stay upright as it seems to help keep gunk from gathering in my lungs as badly. Taking a brief break from work this morning as I’m messing up some simple things, so I’ll catch up with all of y’all instead.

I kept reading this as psilocybin capsules and thought Spot was about to be in for one heck of a day!

I used to have a longhair cat prone to hairballs. We switched him to a food for hairballs (something like this) and it helped a ton. He still had them but with far less frequency.

First, that hardly sounds lazy. And second, I don’t know why but this reminds me of what used to be one of my favorite frozen meals (this Lean Cuisine herbed chicken and gravy but I can’t stand the texture of what they now claim is “chicken” in that dish. So now I’ve been inspired to see if I can find some sort of copycat recipe when I feel up to it.

Hugs to everyone impacted by these crazy times. I’m not impacted yet, but everything I read or hear about is… distressing, to put it mildly. And I’m afraid.

Is it cordless?

My Figaro was rehomed from my sister when she graduated from college and moved somewhere she couldn’t have her. She had been a surprise birthday gift from her former fiancé, who really had no clue about the responsibilities of having a pet.

dot, your puppers look great! I love Einstein’s bow ties. Before I got my dog, I was looking at senior dog rescues and I would have likely given any of your guys a good look.

Sounds like you have Spot’s number. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve found that Ottlite lamps work really well for painting, papercraft or embroidery in the studio. I see I’ve been scooped by sticky buns.

Hugs to you nellie. I hope that you feel comfortable coming back to us soon.

Up, caffeinating, breakfasted, a load of towels in the dryer, jeans in the wash and everything else on deck. I’ve done most of the houseirk and will shevel shortly to go buy groceries, although I’ll have to do the menu plans and list first.

It rained most of the day and night yesterday, so no dog park for Nelson until it dries out a little. I may take him to Lowe’s though, since I need a couple of things from there. He’ll hit the ladies in the paint department for treats and they’ll fuss over him some.

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

that lamp looks like it is alive and could attack!

One of those days where they were sending people home before the shift. Also, I hate touching pudding.

Strange Women Lying In Ponds And Distributing Swords is starting to look god right now.

It’s all about getting rid of every account that doesn’t provide a certain profit margin, service be dammed. The stock market isn’t liking Carol’s ideas.

She has to have wet food because of all the tooth extractions. Perhaps there is something out there.

Happy Friday!

It’s raining.
It’s 42 degrees now, supposed to get up to 53.
I’m not going anywhere, so it doesn’t matter much anyway.

I didn’t see that I could donate them until after I ordered, Red
My son will probably like them.
We’ll think of you when eating the Thin Mints, Doggio

I always do an annual budget each year, MetalMouse, but it gets modified throughout the year.
I had designed my own spread sheet years ago, but I lost the code. I don’t feel like rewriting it, but I can never find anything that fits what I am looking for.
I lost my calender pages too.
I think I no longer have the patience to design it again.

There is indeed - all of the major brands seem to make a wet food with hairball control. I searched Petsmart for “cat food hairball” and probably two dozen wet options came up.

Thanks. I figured there must be.

Sounds to me like two different issues.

One is with the system that controls the blower motor; probably the switch itself.

The other would have to do with the mechanism that controls the amount of HVAC air going past the heater core, as opposed to the amount bypassing the heater core.  That could also probably get back to the switch assembly.  I’d look at that component first, as its the one place where one item being damaged (albeit in two places) could account for both problems.

Nope. That would be even better if it was. Fortunately, it’s conducive to the setting that I have it in and I’ve got it plugged in to a very long extension cord.

Darn. I don’t like stringing extension cords around, I forget they are there and trip over them.
