(Old) Waking up to White Stuff in the MMP

I’m finally recovering from the snot filled nose…I don’t think it qualified as flu, since I never had a temperature over 98-ish. The highest I saw was 98.5…maybe I’m dead?

Yay for my Pats winning the wildcard game. I know most of y’all who follow sports don’t like the Pats, but I’m from Maine, I’ve been a fan since Jim Plunkett.

JtC, thinking good thoughts for hubs.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to heave. Spot napped with me tonight. And by “napped”, I mean "fidgeted and rearranged himself on my head for an hour. It’s currentlt 31 degrees Ferret Height(-0.556 Centipedes)

Are they drinking tap water? When I moved to Houston, I began filtering water for anything that Nelson or I consume. It didn’t taste good to me and he had a case of the poops.

Our tap water is good, but we’ve been giving them filtered water. Shiso is now getting an antibiotic. Vet sppointmrnt on thr 20th.

Yesterday morning Chicago area had what I would describe as a squall, for about 2 hours. Tues had been sunny and in the 40s. I had not known any snow was expected. Checked the weather 1st thing Wed morning, and if it said anything was coming, I missed it. Walked the dog at 7, and there were just a few sprinkles - just dots on the sidewalk.

I drive 4miles to work around 8 am. At 750, heavy snow was blowing sideways. Driving was as bad as I can recall. NO salt had been out, and the roads were terribly slippery. At one point in my drive I make a U-turn from a stop - and the rear of my 4wd slid out. Could not see stoplights from 1/2 block away.

And then it stopped. By pm, roads mostly clear, but a lot of slick spots on sidewalks. Really briefly intense.
