Omnibus Stupid MFers in the news thread (Part 2)

Well, in 2012, Hurricane Sandy’s storm surge flooded subway tunnels in New York City.

Cameron Winklevoss is one of the people who developed HarvardConnection, later ConnectU, and accused Zuckerberg stole the code to found Facebook.

Wow. My home roulette wheel is really getting a lot of work today. It told me this thread is the place to post this bit of news from Yahoo.

Government officials were forced to flee a North Carolina county amid reported threats of armed civilians out “hunting” for hurricane relief workers.

On Saturday afternoon, the Washington Post reports a U.S. Forest Service official sent an email to several different federal agencies warning “National Guard troops had come across x2 trucks of armed militia saying [they] were out hunting FEMA,” the government body responsible for overseeing emergency response management.

The message, which has been confirmed as authentic, added that incident management teams “have been notified and are coordinating the evacuation of all assigned personnel” in Rutherford County.

And just who might these stupid mfers be listening to? Oh, the same link tells me:

Many of the conspiracy theories surrounding the storms and the government’s response have been spearheaded by Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, who in a series of posts on X, formerly Twitter, last week blamed nefarious (albeit unidentified) electoral forces for “controlling the weather” by means of extra-terrestrial laser technology.

Say what you want about Perjury Traitor Greene, but, hey, at least she’s brought anti-Semitism into the Twenty-first Century.

No doubt the ‘armed militia’ is going to complain the government did nothing to help them recover from the damage.

Back when I owned both a gun and a house, I spent much much more on tornado brackets than on gun stuff. Just saying’.

One person has been arrested, carrying a rifle and handgun. Reports of “truckloads of ‘militia’” seem to be between somewhat and greatly overstated.

Darwin Award winner.

The existence of truckloads was reported by a Forest Service official quoting National Guard troops. The fact that one person was arrested says nothing about how many people were riding around in trucks looking for trouble. FEMA seems to believe the reported threat, as they are relocating some of their workers away from the area.

I wouldn’t mind seeing corroboration from another source, but it seems like something ugly and stupid is going on.

This right here.

Even if there was only one arrest and the reports of “truck loads” is inaccurate, I would expect FEMA to take any threat to their workers extremely seriously. And they are pulling out, which means MAGAt’s are getting what they want regardless.

This accurately describes most of the last eight years.

Mississippi’s finest

Want to bet* he was shaking down dealers for cash and drugs?

  • Metaphorically only.

It’s a methaphore.

What’s a methaphore?

It’s for getting high on duty while you pass out in your patrol car.

Being a cop and carrying crack and weed, on you, at work, seems like a really good way to get caught by your local drug dog.

I have to wonder if their K9 Unit suddenly realized why their dog was always so distracted by that cop during searches.

It would have been hilarious if he was the K9 officer.

This guy. Always assume someone is watching, and karma is a boomerang. There are social media detectives everywhere, for good or bad.

Why would they? They’re trained to give a positive response when their handler is there to give them praise, not to actually detect drugs. I’ve heard them called “probable cause on four legs.”

As long as the cop is willing to share his stash with the dog, the dog will be cool. If the cop bogarts, the dog will bite his sorry ass.

They make a hell of a team.

Sounds like a cop-buddy movie:

“Bud & Hash”

He’s already been identified:

People who know him are painting a very unflattering image of him. Even if the people he assaulted don’t come forward, it seems likely he’ll get fired from his job and banned from the stadium, unless his rich parents start throwing their own weight around.

EDIT: I read a little further and saw that yes, he has already been fired.
