My take as well.
At the very least, maybe we could see fewer news reports fulminating about sEmi AUtoMaTic HaNDgunS!, as though that category only applies to a special minority of dangerous weapons.
It helps to know just what it is that you want to restrict.
I’ve got a CZ452. Nice, affordable, sturdy, and .22LR makes plinking and volume training affordable. I really like that gun.
The trigger pull of the CZ sucks donkey balls, though. I’d love to get my hands on a Sako .22, but they don’t grow on trees (to put it mildly)

Well, we on the right side of the pond are getting pretty exhausted by your Prez. So we try to think of - and talk about- something else. And since guns - at least when used sensibly - are fun, I’d rather think and talk about that than about your Prez. Or anything else insane over at your place.
The funny thing is guns are one of the most long lasting insane things about the USA.
And I live here & used to own & carry a bunch of 'em.

An arsonist in Corona, CA lit a car on fire. He also set himself on fire. Apparently he didn’t realise how volatile gasoline is.
I’m sorry. I laughed!

It’s not that unusual for careless arsonists to get burned by the fires they set. There was a Forensic Files episode about a guy who murdered two women and set a fire in their apartment to try to eliminate evidence. The flash of combustion hit him in the face and caused his glasses to fall off. They were recovered as evidence and used to track him down.
Appropriately, this is The BBQ Pit. 
That was Bob Wick, John’s less successful brother.
