Wow. Mind. Blown.
AI is flooding Amazon with products called " I’m sorry but I can’t analyze or generate a new product title for you it violates OpenAI use policy".
I wonder if some clever person will start making posters, bumper stickers, samplers, etc. with “I’m sorry but I can’t analyze or generate a new product title for you it violates OpenAI use policy” on them, and uses that as the product title to sell them on Amazon.
My assumption is that these are products coming from China being posted by people who have no English language skills. They literally don’t know what they are putting in the description and have to trust that the AI is giving them the text they asked for.
(I say China because the couple I looked at were from a seller than indicated they were in China, I’m not sure if that’s the case for all of them though.)
As a consumer it would make me at least wary of purchasing since if there is a problem and I need to contact the seller they may not be able to talk to me.
It doesn’t mean the item itself is a scam, necessarily.

I appreciate that little pick-me-up, thanks. He sounds so hilariously petulant about the whole thing.
And yes that’s a classic Leopards Ate My Face moment.
Very small, but it made me roll my eyes. So, this woman was on the original Gladiator show. For some reason, she was asked about the new remake, and she used the “w-word” that’s so in fashion to make something “scary.” Her complaint? No cheerleaders.
Reading the article, I got the impression that she’s also uncomfortable with the likelihood that the current crop of females on the show won’t have the same experience of being sexualized (sorry, sexualised, she’s a Brit) and objectified that she went through?
Yeah, there was a real leap that she just kind of failed to make there at the end. If someone wants to cheer on the games, feel free, of course.
That’s what I got. She even explicitly stated she was uncomfortable in the skimpy clothing.
While a big part of the anti-woke mentality is simply reactionary BS. The left wants something, so I’m going to rally against it. But that overlaps quite a bit with ‘my life was hard, therefore yours should be as well’.
Yeah,
“It was a completely different time,” Jonsson continued, recalling that she felt “uncomfortable” wearing “really slinky clothes”.
“I remember standing there with my boobs up here thinking, this is horrible,” she said. “Nowadays you’d put your foot down straight away, but it wasn’t the climate.”
Apparently she didn’t realize that her job was, almost entirely, to give millions of teen age boys the hope they’d see a nipple slip . . . remind me who’s woke here?
Sounds to me like she’s just not very smart.
She’s simultaneously telling us she was uncomfortable being quite that much of a sex symbol back then and women don’t have to put up with that now. But … she really enjoyed the off-camera promiscuity, and the cheerleaders were a really fun part of the overall sexploitation of the series back then.
Sigh, times have changed and there’s no more fun to be had. Those school-marmy wokies have ruined another cultural icon. But I still have my celebrity, my plastic tits, and my overly white oversized fake teeth so there is that.
Boy, you must look a lot different than I’d imagined.
Dammit, I thought about reformatting that to be more obviously a made-up quote by Ulrika.
I guess this is also the place to post about evil MFers in the news. I am referring to this bit of news out of Mississipp:
Mississippi slaughterhouse to blame for death of migrant teen who was sucked into machinery, OSHA says
A Mississippi slaughterhouse that supplies chicken to Chick-fil-A is directly to blame for the death of a 16-year-old worker who was sucked into equipment in July and killed within minutes, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration said Tuesday.
OSHA, an agency within the U.S. Labor Department, said that it had cited Georgia-based Mar-Jac Poultry for 14 serious violations and proposed more than $200,000 in fines.
“Mar-Jac Poultry is aware of how dangerous the machinery they use can be when safety standards are not in place to prevent serious injury and death. The company’s inaction has directly led to this terrible tragedy, which has left so many to mourn this child’s preventable death,” OSHA Regional Administrator Kurt Petermeyer said.
So, why is it in the news now? Of course, it’s because the finding by OSHA was just announced. And why do I say they’re evil? Well, there’s the bit above about them knowing how dangerous the machinery is. Oh, I guess that should lead you to ask how they know how dangerous the machinery is.
It’s happened before.
Pérez was the second person to accidentally die at the plant after getting sucked into a machine in a two-year period.
And, yet, they did nothing of substance. Oh, did I mention that in the latest incident, the victim is under the age of 18 and therefore not eligible to work in a slaughterhouse?
But, hey, what’s a couple of deaths and violations of law so long as that good Christian outfit Chik-Fil-A gets their coin?
At the agency I work for that’s called a “willful violation” and gets severe penalties, most likely criminal ones.
Well, we’ve got a thread just for them - Omnibus Evil MFers in the news thread
Remember Nicholas Rossi, the guy who claimed he’s not another guy and the other guy’s tattoos were put on him while he was in the hospital to frame him? He was extradited to Utah and is still sticking to his story.

Do you think maybe he’s delusional? It’s just an incredibly stupid story.
