This happened a few miles away from me - the sentencing was in my local paper. I had a friend who was supposed to receive treatment at that exact location the following Monday. That put him off oxygen therapy for a while.
It makes me so frustrated that a young child died being put through a therapy that had no evidence of efficacy. You can’t cure ADHD. The type of people who drag their kids into this stuff are exactly the kind unlikely to seek medication which is the first-line treatment for ADHD.
But the people who ran that place were just evil, especially the manager. A five year old boy burned alive under her watch and she made comments soon after like, “I’m just saying, he should have at least tried to put himself out.” Also, as soon as it happened, she fled from the scene and tried to get her teenage son to wipe her laptop.
I advocate not for one book, but several books to be thrown at this woman. And I’m happy to see everyone else go to jail too.
