A fair amount of it, of course, is an act to play to his audience.
But that’s almost worse. He has little to no respect for the people who contribute the most to his career and has a vested interest in keeping them ignorant and stupid.

Everyone knows that Al Jabr is an Arabic plot if anything ![]()
Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.
That’s Umberto Eco, right?
Jean-Paul Sartre, actually. It’s quite a timelessly excellent quote, isn’t it? I’m repeatedly amazed by how apt it is over and over again.
Thanks. I was thinking of Eco’s essay “Ur-Fascism”
.
No, everybody should tell Tucker about Arabic numbers. And that his bank accounts are all part of the conspiracy and too dangerous to use.
He might as well have been describing antivaxers.
“loftily indicating by some phrase” (shrieks) “PHARMA SHILL!!!”
Idiot in Adelaide, South Australia, gets pulled over for erratically following a police car. Cops find a reading of cannabis, then the complete numpty gives them a Nazi salute. Fuck me, the idiots are just getting idiot-er ![]()
I take it it’s illegal in Australia to give the Nazi salute? It’s not clear from the article if he was arrested for that or the drug driving. (It’s not illegal in the US, though it wouldn’t necessarily stop a cop from arresting you anyway.)
Yeah, illegal to do the Nazi salute in Australia…which makes it extra stupid if you’ve been pulled over for something else.
Reminds me of the Adam-12 episode where they stop a VW minibus covered with hippie decals for blowing a stop sign and the driver berates them for hassling a citizen. They’re about to let him go without a ticket when a raucous voice from inside the vehicle starts repeatedly calling out “Down with the pigs!”.
It turns out to be a myna bird trained by the guy’s girlfriend to utter anti-cop slogans.
This being the (fictional) U.S. and not Australia, they let the driver go.
A beached shark in Washington was found to have been decapitated after it washed ashore.
No word on whether RFK Jr. was in the area at the time.
My theory is that there is a shark version of the Highlander film.
Eventually there will be one all-powerful shark who absorbed the power of all the other sharks through the Quickening, and then we’ll be in big trouble.
Candygram.
You’re that clever shark, aren’t you?
Umm… plumber?
He’s reportedly on his way to the scene…for scientific purposes, of course.
Hákarl might be the cure for measles. That’s why we must annex Greenland.
From its Wikipedia entry: “Fermented shark (Hákarl) contains a large amount of ammonia and has a strong smell, similar to that of many cleaning products. It is often served in tiny cubes on toothpicks. Those new to it may gag involuntarily at the first attempt to eat it because of the high ammonia content.”
I think I’d rather have measles.
NY high school suspends the student body president on the first day of school for showing up to class with a cup of coffee - which she did to deliberately protest a rule the school district had adopted in violation of state law.
