Has Morgenstern always been a jerk and I hadn’t noticed or has he turned up the trollish assholery recently? He took some drive-by shots at Broomstick in Ambivalid’s Pit thread, and now he’s being hostile and almost threatening to sunnydaze.
He’s always been an asshole about legal stuff, but seems to post in streaks with large gaps in between. At least as far as my recollection of seeing him around.

Most likely. I checked his posting history and he seemed kind of an asshole. He’s been modded before. The insult was probably the last straw. Definitely inappropriate, given the subject matter of the thread.
EDIT - I see he’s used that particular insult before, too.
