Hey, Cochrane may be a C-word but you gotta admit, 119 home runs for a catcher in that era is pretty impressive.

Yep, a C-word.
1/4 cup coconut oil
2/3 cup popcorn kernels
Butter and kosher salt to taste (see link for kettle flavor recipe)
Add the coconut oil and 3 popcorn kernels to a large pot.
Cover and cook over medium-high heat until all 3 kernels pop.
Take the three kernels out of the pot, add the rest of the popcorn kernels.
Cover and take the pot off of the heat.
Wait 30 seconds.
Put the pot back on the heat. Cook, shaking the pot occasionally until the popping slows down.
After about 2 minutes, and the popping has slowed down, take the lid off of the pot. This lets the steam out and keeps the popcorn crisp.
Add butter and kosher salt, toss popcorn about 30 seconds to evenly distribute.
Makes enough for 3 adults

This GQ Thread goes off the rails starting at post #6. Everyone tries to explain to that poser that momentum is not Energy, but he won’t accept that. He asks for a cite! Poor Stranger finally loses his cool and gets a mod note. Perhaps we need to create an exhaustive list of things that are not the same. I’ll start:
- A steering wheel is not a rhododendron.
- A can of beans is not the Empire State Building.
- A shoe is not a telephone (well, except in Get Smart universe)
- A calf is not a canary.
We’re gonna need a bigger Message Board.
Heh. I saw that thread up to Stranger’s post and I don’t really agree with the mod note, although I guess it is because of the word ‘trolling’. He was pretty accurate in what he said. If anything, rat avatar needed a mod note for ignoring what is being said to him.
You guess it’s because of the word “trolling”? I’ve not seen posters call other posters “trolls” in GQ and not get mod notes/warnings.
