I have my doubts about his intellectual range. He is a well trained and well versed lawyer (fwtw) but his mental processes seem largely rigid and constrained. He is more of a skilled technician than a really smart guy.
And, of course, I got a hair up my ass when he grabbed a strand of a thread I started and totally derailed it into the subject he wanted to argue about. As an asshole, he is brilliant at that.
