Aufgespammer strikes again.
Should drad dog show up on the radar here? First of all, we have his whining ATMB thread, banging that one note over and over, and his anti- Tom Petty thread, where it ain’t so much the content but how he’s saying it.
I think drad dog’s just a dumbass.
But he really is an annoying one.
There seem to be less than idle thoughts about banning him.
Someone probably needs to bone up on the rules first.
He’s a fucking troll. But I think pitting him over his Tom Petty thread is lame.
This is what’s baffling me:
When I left the thread at post #24 we’d opened the collective response with pretty withering contempt. I wake up and we’re at post #220 something and still going strong at 300 a few hours later.
And so it has come to pass.
Thoughts about banning him were more than idle. He’s gone now.
ETA: Too many fucking ninjas lurking around every time I post.
It would appear that posters have inserted a feeding tube in this troll.
Jay_jay has descended into raging madness, you can almost see the froth on the lips as he pounds his keyboard about, well, I’m not even really sure anymore, something about AMERICA, and TRUTH, and the BIG LIE, and blah blah blah. It would be kind of funny if it wasn’t so sad.
I felt bad about contributing, but I felt worse about the abused math.
A modest proposal:
We ought to create a forum called something like “The Echo Chamber” or “The Big Stage”
The idea is that all CT/Okrahoma/TMsexualI troll or BS threads get promptly moved there. And everybody else knows not to *ever *post there. We could even go so far as to block all but guests with less than 2 months seniority from posting there.
The end result is they end up debating with each other, or simply posting an OP and being ignored, the rest of us don’t have to ever visit that forum because it’s pure unadulterated dreck, and nobody needs feel obligated to naysay the stupid. The whole point of the forum is to be nothing but concentrated stupid.
The mods can even be snarky as they move the OP:. e.g. “Your post does not meet our minimum standards for intelligence. Here, I’ll move your thread to the forum reserved for the not-quite-good-enough. Feel free to continue posting there.”
It’ll be our little in-joke. *We *all know what the Big Stage is for. Even if they don’t.
I just like poking him. 
It seems sorta fun. But it encourages us all to be more accommodating to trolls. And encourages more of them to haunt us.
if instead the mods had a policy that all CT threads were locked with a dismissive contemptuous comment we’d probably slowly improve the boards and fight actual ignorance in the world at the same time.
Anyone else getting PMs from jay_jay? I’ve gotten two so far. One last night where he asked me if I thought 9/11 was a joke (I replied that no, I thought that he was a joke) and one a few minutes ago where he said:

Unfortunately we’re kind of hamstrung by the policy that “witnessing” is allowed in GD. We’ve had threads moved on the basis that the OP didn’t present a legitimate debate, or that it was just a rant, but typically not on the basis that the proposition presented was asinine. I personally don’t agree with this policy as most of the witnessing threads (as well as the many of the asinine-proposition threads) eventually end up getting locked and the OPs banned, but such is the policy. I think the general idea is that the mods are supposed to judge form but not the merits of the argument. The problem is that this has resulted in countless CT threads ranging from 9/11 truthers to pyramid-building nonsense, and of course the regular appearance of “praise the Lord, Jesus saved me!” threads, frequently with anecdotes of visions and voices that mostly seem to come from deranged psychotics.
As for feeding trolls, I concur, but I understand the temptation. When you see something stupid, given the choice of ignoring it or explaining why it’s stupid using small words, it’s sometimes hard to stay uninvolved, though I do try. I think we should all try harder because thus do trolls survive and prosper.
