Sigh. This thread, like so much else in life, is just a shadow of its former greatness. Perhaps it did too good a job, so now trolls are afraid to try their wares among the wise folks here, knowing they will be instantly recognized and denounced. Perhaps the day for this thread is winding down into sunset. Perhaps it should be allowed to drift slowly to the bottom of the page, and then into the oblivion of yesterday. That would be a sad day, and yet righteous for the victory it would represent against all dishonest posters everywhere. Glory! Glory! No more trolls!

Vinyasi is once again back in our midst. This week’s theme appears to be “physicists are dirty rotten liars who seek to suppress novel thinking”. The evidence for this is that Vinyasi has irrefutable proof of perpetual motion machines, based on copper coils with electricity running through them and magnets ‘n’ stuff.
Vinyasi seems to operate on some sort of cycle, like the very machines he has invented, wherein he ponders things for a week or two, and then waddles out into the thread, which inexplicably remains still open, and deposits another turd of pseudo-scientific gibberish. I note that it’s been getting more and more fanciful lately. He is now bloviating with the joyful reckless abandon of the late Man-Trap Filter, who had also presented us with the wonders of a completely new physics, pretty much heedless of any reality whatsoever.
I have to admit that I haven’t run across the physicists-are-running-the-world theory yet. Points for novelty. Other than that, perhaps his meds ought to be adjusted.
If physicists were running the world, it’d be far more logical. Or surreal, depending on whether or not they were quantum physicists or string theorists.
Trouble is, they would assume everything governed was a sphere on a frictionless plain.
