On the clock - 2008 NFL Draft

Even if he’s there I think Jerry Jones goes with Felix Jones the Arkansas alum.

Woo Hoo.

I hate the Ravens and I’m happy they’ve reached and wasted yet another pick on Kyle Boller…err… Joe Flacco.

I can see Otah here, the highest rated CB (Jenkins), or Sweed / Thomas here. I think I’d prefer Sweed, but the injury scares me. They still (to this point) have two great CBs, so I can’t see a CB here. Otah I think is a bad fit for the Eagles, so I guess Sweed/Thomas. If they take a CB here, Sheppard is for sure gone, probably by the end of the draft today (used to move up and take someone’s second rounder).

Tough call for Philly. I think they go Devin Thomas and get McNabb some help at WR. No way they draft a CB.

Wonder if the Bears can make a trade with the Steelers to get Mendehall.

Panthers just traded up to take that Eagles pick. Otah?

Wow, did tey just trade OUT of the first round?!

Not to be an asshole, couldn’t they have done this jingoistic crap before the first pick instead of the middle of the first round?

Technically Teddy Lehman is who you got with our 2004 2nd rounder.
Any word what Baltimore paid to get back to 18?

I was happy when pick 8 came around - everyone I was worried about them getting was taken - and I thought they were stuck with a bad pick. I was disheartened that they did really well with a trade down.

Hope they paid something decent to get back up to draft Boller part 2.

Is Mendenhall going to drop to the Steelers? The thought scares me.

Am I allowed to know if my team just got raped in this trade or not? Or do I have to be forcibly exposed to another Under Armour commercial before I get to find out?

Wow. Looks like Carolina gave up a lot to make this trade. 2, 4, and a 2009 #1.

Eagles get a 2nd, a 4th, and an 09 1st rounder. Awesome trade I think, even if that 1st rounder is in the 20-30 range, that’s an awesome trade. I’m very, very, very excited.

Tampa and Washington don’t need an RB.

The Cowboys will probably draft Felix Jones, but could still do so at 28.

Pittsburgh, Tennessee, and Seattle don’t need a RB.

Houston would really want to draft Mendenhall I’d guess. Probably a long shot, but the Bears could trade with any of those teams to get him. Seattle might be the ideal one value wise, the Cowboys might be the most eager to trade since they have 2 picks.

Devin Thomas to the Bucs?

I haven’t seen any Under Armour ads, but then I’m watching NFL Network.

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudddddddddddddddeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Aqib “Toast” Talib!

I think we can safely say that the Draft is not Jon Gruden’s forte.

I’m intrigued to see no WR taken yet. It makes perfect sense, there isn’t a single one who doesn’t have a question mark.

Redskins have to be thinking about taking one.

ETA: Wow, Redskins trade back with the Falcons. Who are they targeting? Obviously no QB…Thomas? Merling? Jenkins?

Wow, another trade. Atlanta moves up. Really exciting first round here with lots of movement.

Is that six trades? And they were saying that Dallas might trade, which would make seven.

Ho ho ho holy crap what a reach. Loving Atlanta, what a mess! Look at Sam Baker’s face!! Are you serious? You moved up into the first to get THAT mug?! Was he a projected second rounder even?

Good move. I like Sam Baker and in most mock drafts, he was falling to the second round. But he’s a solid player.
