I’ll take Monday. I have amb-yoo-lance duty Sunday, so it’ll be either blood-gore-guts, or more butt picking…

I’m a generous soul, and would be happy to share. I left a message with my doc’s office today, asking for a chest Xray tomorrow. This sucks.
Congrats on the finishing! What’s next? World fame? Millions? Both at once?
Didn’t read the rest of this–you all post too fast! Off to bed soon–spent last night hacking away, to no good purpose. Bah. Heff-what’s wrong with you? Hope you’re better soon…
I can do MMP duty Monday, unless you’d really rather do it, BBBobbio. You’ll probably have more interesting tales to tell than I will, too. But hey, your choice. Or Swampy’s, as the case may be.
Papa Tigs came home from work feeling lousy, and he’s already gone to bed, which for him is insanely early. (He’s a 5-hours-of-sleep-a-night guy – married to a 9-hours-a-night woman, definitely not exactly an easy combination.) I’m still dragging my ass so hard, though, I’m going to join him. Maybe I’ll feel more human tomorrow. It sure didn’t happen today.
Yay for Rebo-boy and Rebo-mom!

Mork**, baklava. . .yum! But no butter? Hmm. They use butter between each of the layers of phyllo dough to keep them from sticking. That honey must be overpowering or something. I tried the Harry & David’s baklava and thought it was OK. Can’t beat fresh though.
Lili and swampy, thanks for the well wishes. I think it worked. I’m much better today than yesterday.
BooFae, I’ll be happy to give that sick feeling to anyone else. Any takers?
SpecialOne, I don’t sound female? I’m just kidding with you. I’ve gone many months on some message boards with most of the members thinking that I was male.
Lili, what’s poutine food? I’m glad the test results are fine. You sound much better lately.
Jahdra, no bacon or anchovies on the lettuce. But nothing else either. Just plain lettuce. No carrots, onions, tomatoes or cucumbers. Just lettuce. During that time, I had to go back to eating meat for a bit until some new restaurants came up. Eating just lettuce wasn’t going to do it for me. And at that time, even the supermarkets didn’t carry vegetarian food. Things have changed quite a bit in the last couple years.

puggy**, I love the book “Stumbling on Happiness”. I took it out of the library several times before I decided to buy it. I pick it up and read a few pages and put it back down. It’s hard to read for me because I like books that have solutions. This one has more questions than answers. But it sure is fascinating stuff.
rigs, there is so much wrong with me. Oh, you meant my cold, didn’t you? I was just feeling achy and had a sore throat off and on for several days. And I felt like I might have been getting a fever yesterday. I’ve been drinking fresh orange juice from Jamba Juice and taking Airborne every day. And gargling with warm salt water. It seems to be helping. I’m tentatively hopeful. I hope you’re feeling better soon also.
Went to see 28 Weeks Later with a friend, and thought it was terrible. Ugh. On the bright side, I got an email from immigration telling me they’ve approved my work permit and have mailed me the document to that effect. Means I can get paid what miniscule salary I’m owed. Yay!
Good night everyone! :: blows kisses ::
'im indoors met me in the pub after work and we celebrated with some Roaring Meg and a bit of Holden’s Black Country Bitter, then we went home and ordered pizza from our favourite place. Well, that was the celebrations sorted out!
I’m not sure what I will do next, I quite fancy some of the environmental science courses but I’m not signing up for anything else just yet because I really need to get my job situation under control first.
World fame and millions sounds like a good place to start though!
How’s everyone today?
I’m heartbroken, but it’s all your’s…
I’ll be in my bunk.
Of course I’m up early on my day off - the alarm went off as usual because my poor, unfortunate spousal unit had to go to work. He’s on his merry way, the critters have been fed, and I’m caffeinating. I’ve got 2 big baskets of dirty clothes awaiting me in the laundry room, and I’ve been asked to start upholstering the cushions for the main cabin settees (boat talk). They, of course, are in the shed in the back yard, so I’ll have to brave the wilds of the lawn in order to drag them in here. Oh, the excitement that is my life!
I forgot to mention this exciting (?) little tidbit from my week. When I come home from work, I stop at the end of the driveway to check for mail. As I stop, I hit the button to open the garage door - I certainly don’t want to wait for the door to open, you know… Anyway, on Weds, I hit the garage door button and got out of the car, and I heard a lot of noise in the leaves and foliage of the yard. I thought it was the black cat that’s been hanging around, but it was pretty loud for a small feline. I was looking towards that part of the yard as I approached the mailbox, and all of a sudden, a young buck bounded down the slope, across the intersection, and into the woods of the yard kitty-corner from us. His antlers looked to be maybe 6" or so but they hadn’t branched yet, and they seemed to be fuzzy. I’d seen lots of does wandering the neighborhood, but he’s the first buck. I’m glad he didn’t get run over - some people speed down the road, despite the 25MPH sign.
Better than that guy in FL who was attacked by a bobcat in his driveway and had to strangle it to death. <shudder>
The house is still open, and may remain that way today - they’re calling for low 80s again. I consider these days a bonus - this being summer and all.
That’s all for now. I’ll return with tales of laundry and sewing. No need to thank me. I do it out of love.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! I’m up and caffienated and soon off to purtify so’s I can get all physicaled, which I guess will determine if’n they want me to make beer or not. So, appropriate/inappropriate appendage crossin’ will be appreciated in about an hour and a half.
OK, looks like we have [del]suckers[/del] volunteers for the next two MMPs. YAY!
BioTigs has graciously stepped forward [sub]that little break dance step to show off the bionic knee was over the top[/sub] to be our hostess with the mostess next week and BBBobbio well, it wasn’t so much gracious as he just yelled “Yo Over Here! I’ll do one!” has volunteered to be our host with the most for the following week.
All in favor say “AYE”!
AYE!!!
All opposed [del]get over it[/del] say “NAY”!
::CRICKETS::
The “AYES” have it. It’s always good to get these things settled folks.
Later Y’all!
Up early to water before an early meeting.
Sig updated to reflect the current batting line-up.
Considering pizza for breakfast. (I had very nice pizza for din-din last night and brought leftovers home.)
It’s Friday!!!
GT
I want pizza for breakfast. I’ll probably make do with cheese on toast. Not quite the same thing…
add a slice of tomato and you get closer
I still have the donwanna’s but today is a coworker’s last day so I will go in to say goodbye.
Was his name Claude Bawls?
Hi everybody!
Busy day today – went to twins’ end-of-school party (although they still have another week); *then *went shopping for Special Teen’s end-of-school gift (she finished this Wednesday). And this evening we’re hosting the Friday Night Family Meal (including my parents and siblings), so there’s a lot of cooking in my immediate future – and I both hate it and am bad at it.
Pity me.
**GT **-- thanks for noticing my story – seemed like it was invisible! It wasn’t somehow offensive, and that’s why nobody reacted to it, was it?
**Swampy **-- appendages were crossed as requested at about 9 AM yours
**Bobbio **-- you’re on Haze Stalking Detail this weekend? Isn’t that supposed to be my job now?
Everybody else – Boos and Yays as appropriate; and y’all enjoy your weekend!
Lucky for you, BBBobbio, I don’t believe in violence, or I’d fwap you one for that.
Well, I’ve gotten semi-motivated. Second load of laundry is washing, first is drying, and dishwasher is in mid-cycle. I’m still in my robe, tho. I really should don actual clothing and gather the cushions that need to be upgraded. I’ll have to buy a couple of bags of batting, and I should do that in the midst of the work day before traffic gets bad. Shouldn’t I?
Or should I take a nap??
It’s the same way with the GF and me. six hours a night is plenty for me, while if she’s not in bed by 10 o’clock, she will fall asleep on her feet. And I can go a day or so with less than five or six hours if’n I need to (like if I’m reading a really important novel). If I go to bed on a week night before ten, it’s because I’m sick or I’m gonna get some.
I hope Papa Tigs is feeling better this morning.
I really hope that you haven’t named your dog Kisses.
Nice try guys, I’m WAY closer and have been past her place already. Or at least where she SAID was her place. Hmmm, misdirection?
Anyway, keep your stalking distances at a safe perimeter, or I’ll be forced to ride to her rescue. Varmints.
It’s Friday, wheee!!!
Ok, I’ve done bupkus all week, but nevertheless, it IS Friday. Tomorrow afternoon, I’m going to see my friends band play at an outdoor fest near here, then later we have friends dropping by to sit around and solve the world’s problems. Sunday the cubs/Sox game, and early Monday morning, out of the house to drive to Beautiful Downtown Peoria, IL. for a 3-day conference. A Bus Guy conference if you will.
Admit it, y’all wanna live my exciting life, huh?
I am semi-upright and caffeninating. I have to go get more price tags.
BBBobbio, that was baaaaaaaaad.
FCM you need to set priorities. Nap first then go buy batting. You got time for both. See? Simple!
Ok, I got physicaled, so appendages may now be uncrossed. I reckon now we await the results of the drug test and I get an offer of employment for real. I guess. Anywho, the doc said everything looked fine. Ya know, he said that just after he told me to drop trou so he could take a look at the boys. Hmmmm… guess ACBG ain’t the only one impressed with 'em! No need to thank me. I like to share.
Special1 awww now, cookin’ for family is, well, “special” so enjoy it. Then again I like to cook. Though I’m not cookin’ tonight cause we’re goin’ out for a little bday celebration for the son of two friends. He turned 16 last Sunday and has gotten his driver’s license. We’re goin’ to a Japanese restaurant he likes, which we also happen to like, so it’ll be good.
Speakin’ of naps… the idea does sound good…
