No monkey’s paw? Awesome. I’d wish for peak physical and mental fitness for me, my friends, and my family.
Why would anyone wish for a monkey’s paw? Those things can be dangero-- oh, I see what you’re saying.
That my bank account never dips below one million dollars. See… I have a million dollars, I write a check for a $900,000 house… I still have a million. The next day, I write a check for $500,000 worth of show horses… I still have a million. Spend $100 at the grocery… still have a million.
I think that would come in pretty handy!

Nice thought. Every day 16,000 children die of hunger. Now they live. And make more children in this finite planet. Then we need another wish. For god to intervene with a major catastrophe to ease the population growth. Which would be preferable to dying of starvation. So, this wish needs a second one, or a smart god.
I’d wish for true, lifelong happiness, as a way of getting the most out of my wish. Why wish specifically for love, or money, or good health, etc., when all those things would be required to fulfill my one wish for happiness?
I’d probably wish for some level of magical powers just short of genie level.
Reading some of the responses I kind of feel selfish with my first impulse. Still, it was my immediate response, so I’ll still go with it…
For both my parents to be alive and in full health, so that they can meet (in one case) and spend more time with (in both cases) their grandchildren. And so their grandchildren can get to know them.
