Ooh! The BSG Season 2 DVDs are here!

So far my reactions have been pretty standard - it’s good to know I’m not alone. I wonder if my reactions will continue to match as I watch the episodes and I open the threads?

You know of whom Baltar reminds me? Severus Snape.

Hey, if they don’t, that’s part of the fun. Bump the thread and start an argument.

Oh, and re Tamerlane’s comment about why I think the next few episodes are problematic, my argument is in post 14 of this thread. You posted in it when it was active a couple of months ago, but you may or may not remember it, and it’ll probably make more sense now that you’re further into the show.

Aaarrrrgh! Spoilers!!!

Some of us haven’t seen Season 2.5, yet.

:frowning:

Gee, thanks - go and remind me that you lot are starting on Season 3 imminently… :D.

And from hereon in, here be spoilers, ok?

Well, I’ve just got the season end two-parter to go, then it’s time to rewatch the lot. Everything seems to be building to a crescendo. I hope they don’t do a cliché like the end of Season 1.

Well…it’s not exactly a cliche. Rather bold, really. Hard to tell yet if it will end up working.

  • Tamerlane

Heh. Actually pretty much the opposite: so wildly unexpected that the audience is thrown for quite a loop, and we wonder whether the showrunners have lost their minds.

I agree that it’ll take a couple of episodes before we know for sure that it was a good idea, but the two webisodes that have been released so far give me some reassurance.

It’s not yet over for you:

Don’t forget that you will now have the webisodes on scifi.com to check out, too!

Holy frak!

Wow!

It’s going to be a complete bitch until the release of the DVDs this time next year.

Moore and crew seemed very upbeat and positive about this upcoming season when I saw them at Comic-Con. They have it all planned out, with some major bombshells laid on for mid-season. Ed Olmos was positively glowing about the new season, if that’s any reassurance.

You really are a complete bastard to gloat so, aren’t you?

That’s cool, but what else are they going to say? “Yeah, y’know, we don’t know what we were thinking, the first half of the season is going to suck while we completely reboot the premise, try to hang with us for a while…”

A mild bit of revenge for the Brits getting all of Season One well before we colonials did.

Regarding the

one year jump

I read the post-transmission thread and I feel that everyone there missed a basic point: not having anything of interest happenning is boring, so you might as well skip it.

They’ve done jumps of a month or more before, so what’s so bad about a year? It’s not a reboot / reset, it’s just a continuation.

And I’m still non-plussed about the Cylons’ Plan.

And are the webisodes available somewhere other than scifi.com? It simply stalls at ‘Your video will begin playing after a brief advertisement.’ :frowning:

Youtube has a few copies.
