Opal, that is really great news! Congratulations.
Uh, not to toss a turd in the punchbowl, but I sincerely hope you got it inspected by a reputable home inspector. The first place we put a bid on, we were told by our inspector that it needed a new roof ASAP. Ditto the furnace, and the chimney needed work, lest it slide off the roof and kill somebody in the near future.
Needless to say, we withdrew our bid and continued looking. You can bet we had the same guy inspect the house we eventually bought. He was worth every penny we paid him, and he saved us from making a $200,000 mistake. (More, if you count all the repairs we woulda hadda make the first year).
But hell, way to go! Hey, any time you’re in my neck of the woods, drop by and see my little corner of paradise.
The home inspection is tomorrow at 1:30. I’m going to take some interior pictures at that time as well.
