Open up the windows in the MMP!

You go girl! Yah did great! Even being this far away from you I’m impressed. I have a pack up some books and get ‘em mailed task that must be done today and I have nowhere near your forward wherewithal.

I think your buddy just told you how to get rid of an old mower-offer it to a buddy.

My library does that and it is very reasonably priced-you can even do it remotely and just pick it up. Years ago I did a few things at my local FedEx shop, not as reasonably priced and had an insufferably snooty punk whiz kid clerk to deal with-just wear Charm as a bracelet and they’ll bust their butts to get you out of there.

Here’s the printing info your your Muskegon Library system:

Public Computers & Printing
Public computers are available at all branch libraries. Printing is available from the computers for 15 cents per page for black and white and 75 cents per page for Color. All branches also have flash drives available for $5.00…

… Wireless Printing
You can now print from anywhere! Upload your document and print it at any Muskegon Area District Library branch circulation desk. Printing costs 15¢ per side for a black and white and 75¢ per side for a color print. Get started.

Yours does faxes too. Can yah tell boo really really loves public libraries?

:astonished: I have been remiss! :astonished:

I actually got a decent way through the initial screening questions (for task #2) before hitting a question I didn’t know how to answer & freaking out and logging out.
It’s a start.

I also wanted to have printouts of my resume (easier to see the “oops!”) so I went to Staples.

Sorry Boo I didn’t see your post in time.

Besides, Staples took me to a part of town I don’t normally visit, and there’s a Panera Bread thataways. Haven’t eaten there in ages.

Figured I deserved some sort of reward for moving forward with the Twin Tasks of Doom. Besides, there’s more vegetables stuffed into the chowder than I normally eat in a week, I bet.

@swampbear

Thanks my friend!

Yes, Panera food is really good, whether it is their soup or sandwiches or salads. I like how you can mix or match and get half a salad and have a sandwich, etc, that way it’s much easier to make up my mind. Plus their bread, bagels and scones are about as good as it gets in my town and I just have to have good bagels and scones now and again. If I force myself to eat some vegetables at the some time, even better.

Hang onto the thought of your library for printing-you’re sure to need it again, or faxing to be able to get or send official papers for that Second Task of Doom. There seem to be nine library branches in Muskegon, betcha lots of them are close to good food. I thought of you when I read about their seed library-you can borrow seeds (you don’t actually return the seeds of course) that are selected to grow in that climate and be successful. Plus the librarians will tutor you in the growing and gathering process. Maybe Monkey would like you to grow some catnip for him or some heirloom sunflowers to climb?

Every place does. I lost one just a couple of months ago. Suicide during his first semester of college. Kid I had last year.

Up early this morning to take advantage of the clouds. Watered and Miracle-Gro’d all the veggies, then hit Home Depot for more color. Came home with a yellow spike lily and a purple hydrangea. They’ll be ready by the time the roses are finished. Otherwise today is Maintenance Day, both mentally and around the house.

Hugs to all of us. We need them just as much as anybody else.

Mrs Magill and I took her new bike out this morning. I think she likes it. For the first time since we’ve been riding together, I actually had to up-shift in to third gear in the front. After we got back (it was a short six mile ride), we fried up a load of bacon and eggs for her parents

This afternoon, we took Spike to the shop for his birthday bike. He tried a couple of options, and decided on one that should last through high school. While we were out, I had to hit the liquor store (FIL makes a mean, strong Manhattan). I got back into the car, and thought Mrs Magill had lost her mind, as she drove towards the utterly insane highway. The then took a quick left into the Cookout. She and Spike obviously had had a discussion about milkshakes while I was away. They were out of peach, so I had to settle for a chocolate malt.

Got home and fired up the grill and have just finished the flank steaks. The boys made s’mores while we cleaned.

Now, we’re sitting around, digesting until it’s time to get ready for graduation.

Ya needa go back and get rye.

I spent four hours (with a few breaks) pulling up bricks, cleaning them, and stacking them. Felipe & Co are doing a bang-up job on the blackberries and bushes. The holly was like ten feet high, and now it’s about three. The rhodie is suitably trimmed. The other bush is taking up much less space. Mrs. L.A. is giddy at their work. She says she’s humbled. They might be starting on laying the gravel now. I’m staying out of the way.

Sounds like a swell day! Enjoyed reading about it. A bike is a swell gift :man_biking:t3:. The mom/nurse in me hopes he picked out a jazzy, fun to always always wear helmet too!

BTW, huge congrats to the whole famdamily on graduation! That is a big deal! :man_student:t3: :tada::partying_face::confetti_ball: :clap:t3::clap:t3::clap:t3: :confetti_ball::partying_face::tada::man_student:t3:

Helmets are always worn when riding. Mrs Magill has a few hard and fast rules. Number one is Don’t Touch Your Brother. Number two is Blood Stays on the Inside.

Mrs Magill is my kinda mom.

Dunno why my computer was acting all weird and slow, but it seems to be back to normal now. I did a restart and logged into FCD’s account, and ran CCleaner from there. Then I ran Malwarebytes, just in case, but the machine is clean.

My new modem came today - I ordered it yesterday - Amazon impresses me sometimes! I’ll install it tomorrow. Don’t feel like doing much of anything tonight. So I’m working on future grandson’s afghan. And chilling.

The guys used their tractor to haul up the tree top that fell in a wind storm a couple of months ago. I got out my little electric chainsaw that hasn’t been sharpened since I bought it. It said ‘I don’t wanna.’ I put a new chain on and it went through it like buttah. More work coming up.

I’m sitting in front of a Thai restaurant, waiting for dinner. We finished breakfast at 10:30 and it’s 17:11 now. I’m a bit peckish.

Up from naptime, having an Old Fashioned.

Got that last week. :tumbler_glass:

nellie, Sis taught for 30 years in an elementary in SE Houston, in a low income area. She’s attended about as many funerals as you and silenus have and they were mostly from gang violence, domestic violence, traffic and construction accidents. She actually furnished the pictures for one of the early ones who was killed as a freshman in HS. This was back in the days of film cameras and the kid’s family had never taken many photos because of the cost. Sis always did, so she had a bunch printed off for them to use at the memorial.

Glad you got the license stuff taken care of cat glove. I hope that the rest of the cards are easy to replace.

VanGo, it sounds like Cinnamon is Scooby to Nelson’s Scrappy Doo. :stuck_out_tongue: As for the lawnmower, if it isn’t worth fixing, the scrapyard, CL, Marketplace or the curb are all good options.

So Hades’ Annex is about to relocate to Hades itself seanette?

Happy birthday hippy!

Mooom, I had issues with Google this morning. At first, I thought it just wouldn’t connect to Android Auto, but wouldn’t even when I rebooted. I tried to use Google Maps on the phone without it, but I couldn’t even get that to work. It was a good thing that I knew pretty much how to get where I was going.

When I reviewed my calandar this morning, I found that brunch in the park was tomorrow, but the birthday party was this evening. The baby shower stayed put. :stuck_out_tongue: I went to that and made an appearance at the birthday party, but really needed to spend the evening getting chores done, including KP from making the muffins for tomorrow. I told my friend Melissa that I was too old for more than one of these events a weekend. :stuck_out_tongue:

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

Evening all. Refereed at 9am when it was only 73F, then climbed in the car (after gassing up) and drove 48 miles to coach. Boys got clobbered but the girls came back from 2-5 down to win 7-5. These were the last games of the season, so I get a couple months off and then back too it in August. I guess I still enjoy it, the kids were good folk this season (but they are almost every season). But the temperatures were in the 80’s and there wasn’t a cloud to be seen, so I am burned and (was) parched, but have eaten at Cracker Barrel and consumed much fluid so am doing OK (suspect bathing tomorrow will be a bit…problematic).

Sounds like neighbors are having a party or something, not real loud or rowdy, but I can hear them and this is usually a very quite neighborhood, so we’ll see.

Seanette, sounds like getting out of that place needs to be done sooner rather than later, if the bosses are going, it may be they can see the writing on the wall better…

flyboy, sounds like you’re getting your money’s worth; maybe a modest tip to the crew?

Magic, Ms. Magill needs to be well; we need all the ladies of her quality we can get (is she interested in joining the MMP?)

shoe, I have a few storage bins; I think I have the same number of lids, but who knows?? And Birthday Cake flavor…you must try it and report back to the assembled Mumperhood…

Hippy Birthday, Happie (something lost in the translation).

OK, I think I have pumped enough Pepsi into my bloodstream to keep me awake for a couple more hours so I can go to bed (and arise) at a decent time Sunday. All y’all take care.

In actuality, Mrs. L.A. did give them a modest tip.

Seems pretty close. Still awaiting word on when the necessary financial buffer will arrive to make escape possible.

Please forgive typos, the eyes are not yet fully back to normal post-exam. Glasses will take 7-10 business days to arrive (nice order processing lady says could plausibly be a little faster). @swampbear, if you ever again admit to driving post-dilation, I’m coming over there to swat you! VERY bad idea, and this afternoon was a refresher on that. This is why I had this done on Saturday, to allow for DH to play chauffeur.

I’m sure you’re right. STBX grandboss may be a bit intimidating, but she is NOT stupid or clueless.

That does it, I’m sleeping in the basement until I can get Coolio installed. I already set up a little nest (yoga mat & two sleeping bags, plus a sheet for under and another for on top, should I wish to actually cover myself) with supplies: water bottle, touch lights, a smoke, and snacks, so I don’t hafta go up and down the stairs a bunch.

Took a cool shower, and am currently sitting naked in the dark in front of my fan, having one last Popsicle before descending.

Neighbors are making a racket, but last summer taught me that poor, hot, bored people + late sunset times = shenanigans. Can’t blame 'em.

Not gonna join 'em, though!

Especially not naked without enough popsicles to share! Recipe for a disaster.
