swampy, I think that something like a dot sized clapper should be put on small items like billfolds, keys and phones that emit an audible sound for our aging demographic. 
Moooom, like ruble, I’ve seen some pretty wacky contests and gimmes at minor league parks. At Sounds games, there are the added bonuses of the best fireworks in town and really good music. We occasionally even get music celebrities performing the national anthem.
I picked up the antibiotics that I was supposed to begin last night this afternoon. My PCP had sent them to the old pharmacy. :smack: Tomorrow evening, my SIL, two friends and I are going to a roots music radio broadcast. It should be fun.

Since this is going to be basement and just for my pleasure and satisfaction I may not totally redo the top part including the roll. If the color doesn’t match perfectly, who cares? Only about 5 people may see it total. My real deal is killing anything that could pop up later and making it strong.
Based on the vintage and what I see I’m betting spar varnish over a light oak stain. The wood appears to be solid oak everywhere.

Minor update: last day of irk is now Friday, 4/7, instead of Moanday, 4/10. I still get paid until May 30th, so I’m fine with that. As horribly slow as it was today (I took 9 calls in 8 hours), I’d have been fine with today being it.
Lesson learned - don’t buy WalMart’s generic brand of fruit cocktail in juice. The pear pieces are crunchy - CRUNCHY!!! PEARS!!! WRONG!!! I like having cottage cheese with fruit for breakfast, but crunchy pear chunks just ruins breakfast. ick. I used to love fruit cocktail as a kid, but this has ruined it for me. ick.
I need to remember to call our credit union and make an appointment to see our finance guy. We’re overdue for an annual review, and now that we’re talking about retiring for reals, we need to do some serious money planning. **FCD **wants to quit at the end of this year, and I was hoping to hang on till the end of 2018. But there are times when I just want to say SCREW IT and quit now. Not because of the job - just because. So I don’t know.
Meanwhile, I’ve got 1 or 2 drawings to finish, then I need to verify the entire package before passing it back to the engineer for review. So today should be busy, and I emailed the boss yesterday to ask for more work. And just this second, I saw a sticky note from Josh that I’d forgotten about - guess I have more to do than I’d thought.

Bro and I shall be at the nursin’ home for the care plan meetin’ for my uncle at nine this mornin’. This is the big plan for the day. Other than that I’ll spend the day inside chillin’ with mom and sis.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Purtification must also commence shortly.

Indeed, irk is most irksome today since I am getting pulled into things I don’t have time for at the moment. On the plus side, I am not management any more so I can dump everything in someon else’s lap when I sod off to foreign parts.
And it’s camel day today so there will be beerverages in the pub tonight. Doggio, what band are you off to see? Live music in pubs is one of my favouritest things, y’know.
Well, now I know how to dress for somewhere 900 miles South, when irk takes me in the opposite direction. :rolleyes:

It’s bright and N.O.S. outside and should be fairly warm today.
I was up off and on throughout the night but I feel pretty alive this morning.
I have a lot to do today and I hope to get a bunch of it done. It’s like the shit never ends, always something new that needs to be done.
My mother wants us to come for Easter. I wish Sah-son would/could drive and he could go while I stay home with the dog. Maybe we’ll just pack up the dog and take him.

Blurf Just got to irk a little bit ago due to oversleeping and being stuck in my yard by road paving equipment. Our road is getting repaved from when it was torn up for the new sewer system that is being installed. I considered just taking the day off but did not want to hear all that beeping and carrying on of the road work.
Sunny I live 32 miles from my irk but it is on a two lane highway with speed limits of 45 in most places. It takes the better part of an hour. I am in my 14th year doing it. Five days a week. Getting old.
