Howdy Y’all from stormy Jawja! ‘Tis indeed a gloomy, doomy day. A day for nappage which shall be shortly. Bro and I went to unc’s care plan meetin’ this mornin’ and it went well. Unc is bein’ cooperative right now so here’s hopin’ we can get all the legal stuff squared away within the next few days.
Interesting morning. Got a call from the travel agency that I booked the ‘extra-time’ tour with (to Oslo and Copenhagen). Turns out I was the only one to date to sign up for that tour, so the company is switching me to an alternative that will mean I get so see more of Norway, don’t have to pay for hotels that I originally had to with the first tour, and they’ll pay for my ticket from Stockholm (where my cruise ends) to Copenhagen! So that was an easy switch to make.
Then they added a new player to my girl’s team, two weeks after we’ve started. So that’s 12 boys and 12 girls to try and share equally in playing time. Not as easy as it looks. Just hope she fits in well with the rest, all the girls seem to get along with each other (but I’m a 64-yo male, so what do I know about pre-teen group dynamics?).
Still waiting to see if the predicted thunder-boomers are going to show up and ruin the boy’s practice for tonight. So far so dry.
Butters, did something like that the one year I was a full-time teacher, not a fun commute. Plus I turned out to be a fiarly lousy teacher.
FCM, sounds like somebody is going to be well-fed this Easter.
That’s pretty much standard at my mom’s house, as it was at my grandmother’s house. Way too much food in variety and quantity. And we all end up with care packages if we want.
The weather PTTB say no rain today. The radar shows a very larger band of green headed right towards us. Hmmmm. And now, upon checking, there is green completely surrounding my house, and nothing right over us. Apparently the WPTTB have been developing some powerful new technology.
I feel like crap for the 400 millionth day in a row. 'Beamer stayed home from school with a stomach ache, but so far has had the wonderful kindness not to barf.
In a while, I will go and fetch the girl child from school.
Other than that, I plan a day of sitting in bed and coughing.
I can see why. :o
Didn’t sleep well, I’m gassed; may cut training a bit shorter tonight. I would love to stop at the brand new brewpub on the way home as they have some cool named beers but I will probably pass.
I was going to point that out as well, but it just seemed so underhanded.
Even metal rats need some respect. To point that out would be so mean and low down that…
Sis and I ingested a late N.O.L./early dindin of sushi. I had spring rolls (OK, not sushi, get over it), sweetheart roll, California roll, and seaweed sallit. ‘Twas so good! I just can’t believe a place like this exists in Ye Olde Home Towne. I mean, when I was growin’ up here, pizza was as exotic as it got.
…it’s something you would do.
Afterall, plants are dirt-y. :dubious:
I keep an old pair of running shoes for when I want to take a walk at irk, that way I don’t wear out the leather on good shoes. However, a piece of the sole came off of them today. Guess it’s time to retire them to become a new track or playground.
Saw the error when I was moving back down the thread and wondered who would make a comment first, spidey or flytrap. Guess you got in ahead of him (reaches for Raid can)
Never got a drop of rain here, but just in case it did, they closed up the fields lest they be damaged by kids actually playing on them…most of the nasty stuff went east of here, hope anyone in East Tennessee or Georgia is taking precautions.
Mailed the water bill and ate a cheeseburger. And that will be enough activity for this evening.
