We appear to be having thoroughly unseasonable weather here, as in, it’s actually nice. Clear skies, warm in the sun, lovely fresh breeze… Very odd. All the plants are as confused as me. It feels like summer, and it has done for days.
I shall be going pubwards shortly, to celebrate a former housemate’s birthday, just going to shower (been gardening) and nip to the shops first.
Up for the second time today (napped on the choo, but our stop is coming up in a few mins).
Mooommm, my guess is cardiac; it’s near the end of the cruise, much food has been eaten, there should be room in the fridge now to keep a stiff on ice.
Monday I worked outside Nats park for opening day - pretty easy; run a couple live shots and clean up a truck. Got home, eating dinner, CRACK!
Sheared a tooth in half.
Tuesday morning to the dentist who tells me it has to come out and gives me very expensive options for replacement. I end up going for implant prep.
Hour and a half of tugging later the two shards have been removed. Skipped work and slept most of the day, drugged. The repair included packing the hole with ‘bone chips’ to promote healing and sew a membrane across the top. Admonished not to irritate the membrane with drinking, eating, brushing or testing with my tongue.
By Friday morning the membrane got knocked off (in my sleep) and back to the dentist, who was not in, so the assistant cleaned it up a little and made a plastic cover to protect the site until next week when it can get repaired. And given antibiotics because the whole thing looked dodgy.
Went home, started antibiotics and proceeded to have near hallucinations all afternoon (skipped work again) until finally settling down around 5pm.
Now just in pain waiting for it to warm up outside so I can distract myself with projects. I do have time off planned soon so I’m looking forward to that.
I’m up and caffeinating. I fixed Baked aigs on rice and spinach for breakfast and it was yum. Later, I’m headed to crafting with the heathens. It got chilly here last night too. While it wasn’t freezing, I did cover the plants again. I’ll be glad when Ma Nature gets past this mood swing.
Now that the cat got me up and got her breakfast, big excitement for today is waiting for my new phone to arrive. Tracking shows it “out for delivery” as of about 40 minutes ago (as I type).
{{{Tugig}}} I have done those things. They are not fun things. I’m guessing the tooth was bad before you cracked it and that’s why it broke. Hope you feel better soon.
Sari that’s a phishing attempt. They are trying to steal your info, if they haven’t already gotten it. Stop trying to click on the links and enter information. What information did they ask for? The rule of thumb for these things is to look up and manually enter the url for the appropriate agency rather than ever clicking on the url provided.
I did actually sleep last night, so that was nice. One other thing I changed was I covered my clock. I’m sure I woke up a few times, but since I couldn’t stare at the clock for hours it was easier to just go back to sleep.
Other than that, I think it may be a lazy day chez moi.
I have planted petunias and snapdragons. All of the petunias and most of the snapdragons are in planters on the back porch. The 3 remaining snapdragons went into a garden out front. Spring has officially been acknowledged here.
I like flying into LAX for a similar reason. The extremely long flight path goes over the house I grew up in. I like picking out landmarks, and my old house.
Howdy Y’all from da cave! I left mom’s place a little after nine this mornin’ and was here around eleven-thirty. OYKW went and had N.O.L. at that paragon of fine dinin’ known as Three Squares Diner. Nappage has also been achieved. 'Tis a N.O.S. 72 Amurrkin out so windows (the house kind) are open for some fresh air. I have a load of laundry (surprise!) in the washer. All is good.
Nettie here’s hopin’ you find a new and better gig soonest.
gigity ouch! Hope the tooth is all better soonest.
I just finished taking down and putting away the laundry. **FCD **has routed the wire up the garage wall, thru the attic, down the opposite garage wall and thru a hole into the basement where he’ll hook it into a circuit breaker box. So we’ve almost got power to the shed.
I need to clean the critters’ water fountain and I’ll have to iron a few shirts for my sweetie, but I think those chores will wait till tomorrow. Still, it’s been a pretty productive day. Yay!
I have successfully washed, dried, hung up, or folded and put away two loads of laundry. Go Me! That is enough productivity. Chillage ensues. Any ingestion of comestibles will be done via foragin’. I did, however, yank a hunk o’ beast outta da freezer for thawage. It shall get turned into dindin for tomorrow. N.O.L. will involve grabbin’ a burger after deheathenization.
Haven’t you been away all week? Is what you’re foragin’ partially green & fuzzy?
Din here was pizza. I had some thoughts on a beer, but now Imma thinkerin’ (is too a word) on bed, between up early & race I is kicked & tomorrow morning is busy & long. Will probably skip the club breakfast at the Corner & go to the Wa(wa) instead as they have two sammiches on sale for $3.33, along with two iced teas for $2 - a good, cheap, replenishing brekie.
HR people are teh evil! The first time I saw a Dilbert I thought it a biography of the company I was working for, until the dog started to talk, and even then I wasn’t too sure.
Nettie, It’s all for the best. you’ll find something even better next time. Just keep repeating that.
Gigity, I broke a tooth on a piece of toast once. I feel your pain.
Wifey is over at the Cultural Center at the Camellia festival, handing out flyers about the Lavender Festival, which is coming up in July, and which she, and thus I, are involved in.
I’ve dried and folded the first load of clothes and have a load of towels in the dryer. I need to go put a load of unders in the washer in a minute. No hurry. the dryer is way slower than the washer anyway.
