Opening Day in the MMP!!!

Lots of catching up to do. Apologies to any I miss.

tugig, that’s not a comfortable feeling, hope the dentist gets the repair done right.

swampy, welcome home, you are a good and dutiful son.

Nettie, good luck on the job search and enjoy the new phone.

Sari, I’m with sunny, unless you have a trail of evidence with these folks wanting to lend you money, I’d be careful.

sunny, coming in to land at Huntsville, I almost always pass over my house…nice in a kinda wierd way.

ruble, HR is the bane of all worker’s existence. I sometimes thing Karl Marx wrote his book after dealing with HR one time to many…

**spidey, flytrap…**aw hell, just keep doing whatever (dodgy) things you are doing.

Whew!

Had one of the boys I’m coaching fall down at practice Firday and hit his head hard on the ground. He said he had a bad headache and was dizzy, so we sat him out and called his parents. Sure enough, he had a concussion, so he’s out for a couple of weeks. Had to do an incident report for the AYSO (paperwork) but nothing serious.

Then sattiday I coached at 9am (we won 1-0) about 20 miles from home, coached at 1:00Pm (at home, we won 6-1), and refereed at 4pm. So I is tired. trying to work up the ambition to put some presentable clothes on and let Logan’s Roadhouse do the cooking.

All y’all take care, now.

Were you gone?

spidey, I always enjoyed seening things from a different perspective from the train. Places that are very familiar from your car or bike, are almost unrecognizable from the tracks.

We had our crafting meetup this afternoon. There were four of us. Two of us are getting together next month at my place to do it again (today’s host will be out of town all of May and the fourth person is fixing to have a baby then ).

Ribs from Pollo Tropical for supper.

Seconded!

Kinda. But in the light of a new day and a little sleep, it does really make me feel good that a bunch of coworkers appreciated it that much to raise a slight stink over it. That is a much better gift at my age than like 10 bucks.
Went and did some DCNR paperwork and visited around Cook Forest. Tomorrow I feel the smoker and some pig parts calling my name.

One of the things I lost over the last 15 years when my mother was throwing my stuff away was my old t-shirt from the one rugby tourney I played in:

Rugby players eat their dead

Or to paraphrase something I think Marx said ----- they are the maggots feeding off the bloated corpse of capitalism.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 43 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 78 and N.O.S. for the day. Temps will get back into the 80s for highs this week. Today’s plan include deheathenization which will be big bein’ as today is Palm Sunday and our Bishop is here for his annual visit, N.O.L. probably grab a burger, more laundry, and the makeage of dindin. Besides a hunk o’ beast which shall go in the slow cooker in a bit, I don’t know what else will make up dindin but I got time to figure that out.

Spidey OYKW was around while I was gone so stuff in da fridge did not get all fuzzy. He’ll be gone next week for a visit to his mom and family so then I’ll be in charge of makin’ sure no fuzzy foodstuffs are in da fridge.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. I shall also get the beast doin’ it’s thing in the slow cooker and purtify for deheathenization as well.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Thanks for the kind words - I managed to do some outdoor stuff and a workshop chore before settling into computer games last night; didn’t read the dope until very late and didn’t feel like replying.

Unfortunately last night the pain has become worse, much worse, and the 800mg ibuprofen isn’t making a dent. I’m already on antibiotics so my Google fu says dry socket, which makes sense. What’s even worse is the pain happens while I breathe, which likely means I have a hole from the tooth root into the sinus (which may explain why the repair failed).

Either way it looks like a long Sunday ahead.

Yestidy was the second time I did that particular race. Last year my good friend & teammate was there also. She is a widow. Last year, some guy (who is there because he runs the place) is staring at her, starting to creep her out. Then he comes over to her & says, “Hi, <friend’s name>.” She gives him a quizzical, dog’s head cocked look at first & then, “OMG, <his name>!!!” Turns out he was a former rugby teammate of her husband’s & they hadn’t seen each other in many years (which is why he was staring - is it really her?). She, (& by extension, us) were treated well after that.

Since she’s sick, very sick, she couldn’t be there yesterday but I made him get into our team picture. The guys who weren’t there last year were like “Who the eff is that & why is he in our picture?” but she was very appreciative when I sent it to her.

You know what kind of advice you’re going to get around here, right? If something hurts don’t do it.

Up, caffeinated ,and sheveled. Off again today.

Happy Sunday!

It’s very N.O.S. outside, looks like it is going to be a beautiful day. Going to go up to 70, so this will be a good day for yard irk.
The down side of N.O.S. days is now I can how badly the windows need to be cleaned.

Sunny, MetalMouse - no worries about anybody getting any information - although I can’t believe I almost got phished. The links wouldn’t open. Then again, considering it is MD state, it could be a valid email with screwed up links. I just got an email again to renew tags that aren’t mine. It’s a known glitch in the system. Between that and MD exchange system, I have absolutely no faith that anything I receive from the state government will be correct.

{{{2Gig}}} I hop you feel better soon.

**Blurf **. Finally made the grocery store trip yesterday so I guess I should cook up a big meal today. Don’t want to do much of anything though.

Happy Palm Sunday. Feel better 2Gig. Where’s Mooomm?

I’m here! We got up around 7 and headed to breakfast after showering. Just got back a bit ago. I cleaned the critters’ fountain and **FCD **is downstairs playing with electricity. We will have power in the shed today. And after it warms a bit more, we’ll put up the remaining wall panels.

I bought azalea food yesterday, so today, I’ll dose 'em all. If I have the energy, I’ll transplant a few lilies, or I’ll do them another day. Last big chore for today is ironing my sweetie’s work shirts. And there will probably also be knittage.

One thing we discussed at breakfast was building a catio (cute, huh? I stole that) for Taz and Ziva. We’re thinking it will be a fenced box sitting on the front porch outside our office window. We’ll make an insert with a cat door so the window will be mostly closed but the cats can come and go outside within the confines of their box. Taz will love it. Ziva - she may be too much of a wuss. So that’s the next project.

Meanwhile, I think I’ll toss the beef chunks into the slow cooker for soup.

Happy Sunday!

Playing with electricity.

The house is open - ah - fresh air!!

I’ve fed my azaleas, and I’m now watering them to get the plant food to sink into the soil. I also cleared some of the mulch from around the liriope - they put down too much in some places.

**FCD **got power to the shed, but he’s hurting too much, so we won’t be working on the shed walls today - suits me fine. After I’m done with the watering, I’ll do some knitting, I guess. We shall see.

Howdy Y’all! We’ve deheathenated and had N.O.L. Baby lima beans, squishes, and rice shall be the sides for dindin along with rolls. The rice is cause I have a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for rice 'n gravy. I could start a load of laundry but instead nappage will ensue soon.

{{{gigity}} hope you feel better soonest.

Dry sockets suck. I did those with my wisdom teeth. You should call your dentist’s answering service and nag until someone medical calls you back. At least get some pain killers to get you through to whenever they can see you. If that fails, find yourself some clove oil. They pack the area with clove oil (promise) to dull the ache (well they would if you weren’t trying for a transplant). You probably don’t want to undo any sutures, but maybe you can put a cotton ball of it on the area and kind of bite down to keep it in place. It should help dull the pain.

I’ve got a rolled up newspaper around here somewhere…

My hubby and son built a battle bot yesterday. They’re going to be entering it in tournaments. My son is bummed (of course) that he can’t add destructive weapons (like axes) to it, but he’s having a blast running it around the garage and working out how he will disable other robots. :stuck_out_tongue:

Today groceries should probably be bought. Laundry should possibly be done. We’ll just see.

We went out to mow the lawn and the mower wouldn’t start. I looked it up online and I think all we have to do it find and push the restart button, but we’ll do that tomorrow since we already put everything away.

My hand is really hurting again. I’m going to start some taco meat going for him and then I might take a nap. I’d rather try to stay up but I was up most of the might and the sleepies are hitting me hard right now.

I miss all the excitement around here. My neighbor that is in the other half of my house was telling me that the police raided the house on the other side of me. Busted down the door and everything. Nobody seems to know what it is all about though, because the girl next door is still there. The neighbor on the other side of that house said they think the police were after one of the people staying there. I thought it has been quiet over there lately, not that they are ever noisy, but there is always a bunch of people going in and out or standing on the balcony smoking. I had
noticed there aren’t as many cars parked out front any more.
Anyway, I didn’t hear a thing.

It’s a little too chilly to open the windows here, but I am looking forward to when I can.

The azaleas in the front are all watered. I just started in the back.

I had to completely recoil both hoses out front because the landscape guys just pulled them out then tossed them back all tangled. They’re untangled now. While sorting the hoses, I noticed that they mulched over top of our pavers, so I’ll get out there with a bucket and a shovel - then I can put the mulch somewhere else - like around the small azaleas out front that are across from the bed that got mulched. In fact, there’s a lot of mulch to be redistributed. Maybe I’ll move some tomorrow, or later today if I feel energized.

**FCD **is snoozing. He got his new compressor hooked up and running, so that’s one less thing. The house smells yum with the beef-n-onions simmering away in the broth/burgundy/worcestershire mixture. I’ll add N.O.T.s shortly, then nukelate the bag of frozen mixed veggies and toss them in, too. Soup will be yum!!!

The dogs are fed. I am eating. I went to notify 'Beamer that we could head out to the video game store soon and he said he had to finish building his robot first. I did not know this was possible. His priorities in life are generally: dessert (chocolate), video games, swimming, and everything else. This is good.

I made chicken and rice and napped and watched documentaries on Amazon Prime. Hubby has been organizing his work stuff downstairs. It is finally getting properly organized. I really need to wash my car and clean the inside but it may or may not happen.
