I loved Jodi Foster’s gown. She looked so beautiful.
I hated J. Lo’s. A lot.

I thought Naomi Watts looked like Charlie Brown. And when Gwyneth Paltrow came out to present, I thought “she looks like a giant seashell.” I really liked Cate Blanchett’s and Kate Winslet’s gowns, though.
Ditto on Jodie Foster’s gown. Great color and cut. I liked her hair, too.
I didn’t like Naomi Watt’s gown–specifically the sleeves (or whateever you would call the bits on her arms). I liked the color, though.
I liked the gown Jessica Beil was wearing, if for no other reason than on the red carpet, it highlighted her highbeams.
I missed all of those. I’m going to have to catch it on the Destroy Them shows in the coming weeks.
Did Nicole Kidman wear a color that matched her pale skin and was her hair too tight (as per usual)?
She looks smashing to me.
That is a truly stunning gown. That’s the best I’ve seen her look at these affairs.
I also loved Reese Witherspoon’s look. Her new hair is really cute.
Jada Pinkett Smith looked great, too.
I’m SO GLAD Jennifer Hudson lost the space cape. That was totally killing her look. Without it…lovely.
I thought Jody Foster looked nice, too, but I was especially fascinated that her earrings were the exact same color as the dress. Which is easy if the dress is black or white, but they were both the same shade of slate blue. The color looked good on her, too.
Penelope Cruz looked like a decorative toilet paper cover.
The understated dress that Sherry Lansing wore was beautiful.
I didn’t watch, but I’ve been looking at the dresses (hell, it’s the only reason I watch anyway) and have to say, what the hell happened to Oscar hair this time?! That straight look is awful for evening and even Reese, who is usually so flawless, did it! It’s just not Oscar hair and IMHO ruins a great dress.
What did you think of Cameron Diaz? She came up on the worst dressed list, but I loved her gown. http://oscars.movies.yahoo.com/photos/photo.html;_ylt=Al7CRxUBd4WZUh4PBlDBUFl2VLcF?gid=69&pos=3
My husband hated the shorter-in-the-front thing, but she was wearing really cute shoes.
As much as I adore Jennifer Hudson and Oscar de la Renta, I think her dress was a miss. It was better once she took that jacket/shrug off.
What the hell was that on Faye Dunaway’s head? Perfect example of why women “of a certain age” shouldn’t have long hair.
Sally Kirkland - get the net.
Helen Mirren - perfect. Ditto Penelope Cruz.
I actually liked Gwyneth Paltrow’s dress, but for the love of God, get rid of those freaking extensions, or pin your hair back!
Nicole Kidman - loved the color; undecided on the big bow knot thing at her neck (and lay off the Botox!)
George Clooney - Cary Grant called. He’s says you’re doing perfectly
Clint Eastwood - I adore you, but stop going to Joan Rivers’ plastic surgeon.
Cameron Diaz - if she’s such a beauty, why do I always think she looks like a rag picker?
Jennifer Lopez - loved the dress (Marchesa). See folks? It’s easy for a new couture line to get exposure in Hollywood. (as long as one of your co-creators is dating Harvey Weinstein)
Abigail Breslin - perfect party dress for a little girl.
Jodie Foster - always looks fabulous.
Celine Dion - hate the red carpet green dress. The dress she wore for the song number was much better.
Maggie Gyllenhaal - liked the dress - didn’t like the feathers in the hair - they just didn’t work for me.
Reese Witherspoon - loved the dress - beautiful color
Does anyone have a link to Diane Keaton last night? I missed her (damn bathroom break!) and I understand she looked sensational.

I liked Cate’s, Kate’s and Helen’s gowns the best—my, Helen has a trim waist and curvy figure, does she not? I haven’t seen “The Queen” yet but Liz II’s wardrobe seems as tho it would have hung off her most unflatteringly.
And I liked Ellen’s white suit the best of her “patriotic” trio of burgundy, white and navy tuxedos. I love Ellen’s hair! That pixie cut is just great for her face.
Disliked Kirstin Dunst’s dress, as did b/f, as it did nothing to highlight her luscious top half (according to HIM) & featured a goofy Peter Pan collar, which even in lace did nothing for her, or the dress (according to ME). She’s looked far more glam in the past on these shows.

She’s gotten away from the trademark white suit thing, and I’m really glad she did. I thought she looked great.
I guess this is an “after party” dress Hudson is wearing. From what I can see of it, I like it better than the one she wore on stage. http://www.abc.net.au/news/arts/theshallowend/200702/s1857204.htm
Cate and Kate were the best dressed, in my opinion.
Try this. Thumbnails from www.wireimage.com
I thought it would have been cool for Ellen to wear a nice ball gown, but I guess in retrospect it just wouldn’t have been right. I thought her suits were a little too understated for the Oscars, though.
LOVED:
Helen Mirren
Jodi Foster
Reese Witherspoon
Cate Blanchett
Kate Winslet
Jennifer Hudson - She ROCKED that red dress in song medley
Abigail Breslin - PERFECT dress for a cute girl
HATED:
Meryl Streep
Anne Hathaway
Kirsten Dunst
Naomi Watts (I’ve never seen a yellow dress that I liked in any of these glam awards shows)
Nicole Kidman (loved the red color but it washed her out)
Jennifer Lopez (The hair, the dress both horrid)
MEN LOOKING GOOD:
Mark Wahlberg
Tom Hanks
Ken Watanabe
Leonardo DiCaprio
Dijmon Hudsu (or however you spell it)
I thought Nicole Kidman looked like a freak; like a clown or the UnDead or something. Ugh!
Queen Latifah looked phenomenal.
Helen Mirren was breathtaking, too.
Cate Blanchett was also simply stunning.
