QBs: Aaron Brooks, Rich Gannon, Tommy Maddox
WRs: David Boston, Amani Toomer, Rod Smith, Michael Lewis, Tim Brown
RBs: Ricky Williams, Eddie George, Warrick Dunn, Jerome Bettis
TEs: Anthony Becht, Kyle Brady
Ks: Jason Elam, Ryan Longwell
DEFs: Miami, Baltimore
BTW, am I right to understand that we’re just playing for cummulative points, and not head-to-head? If so, that should be an interesting change of pace.
That’s the impression I got and since the “Week One Matchups” don’t show any actual matchups, I think it’s a points only. Never played a league that way.
I’ll try and remember last night selections from memory (just mine), but it’s a bit hazy:
QBs: Daunte Culpepper, Tom Brady
WRs: Eric Moulds, Koren Robinson, Chad Johnson, Josh Reed, Marc Boerigter, Joe Jurevicius, Dennis Northcutt
RBs: Clinton Portis, Stephen Davis, Correll Buckhalter, Mike Alstott, Thomas Jones
TEs: Jerramy Stephens, Mikhael Ricks
K: Martin Gramatica
Def: Carolina
I really like my roster this week! Then we’ll see how it really goes.
QB - Donovan McNabb, Jake Plummer
RB - LaDainian Tomlinson, TJ Duckett, Amos Zereoue, James Stewart, Marcel Shipp
WR - Marvin Harrison, Tai Streets, Keenan McCardell, Joey Galloway
TE - Marcus Pollard, Alge Crumpler, Jed Weaver
K - Mike Vanderjagt, Sebastian Janikowski
D - Pittsburgh, New Orleans
Overall, I am pretty happy considering I autodrafted. I ended up with my number 1 choices for running back, quarterback, wide receiver, and defense.
I have a couple of runningbacks and a tight end I would never pick. But, there are so many similar receivers that I can take care of all of my issues via free agency.
Munch, there are nine teams, with starting slots of:
1 QB
2 RBs
2 WRs
1 WR/TE
1 RB/WR
1 K
1 Def
I guess whoever has the most points at the end of the season wins. And with such a small number of teams it’s almost like a Lake Woebeggon effect: every team is above average.
QB: Hasselback, Warner, Collins
RB: James, Barber, Hearst, Mack, Pittman
WR: Horn, Holt, Driver, Johnson (Keyshawn), Smith (Steve)
TE: Miller, Clark (Dallas)
K: Mare
DEF: Oakland, NYG
I can live with it, considering that I picked last. I like the upside of my QBs very much, and I have as strong a WR corps as anyone (though WR are easy in today’s NFL). If James is back (and I think he is) then I like my chances.
