Ok, there’s been some sort of explosion downtown (regjeringskvartalet) a few minutes ago . One newspaper mentions a bomb, I can’t find anything definite either way, and no photos online. Apparently it was a newspaper building (VG-bygget) that was hit, and three people hurt.

I heard the explosion all the way from Kringsjå (several kilometers away).

I just got off the phone with Málm, who was at work closeby. He was nearly thrown to the floor by the force, but is safe.

Everyone else? Flodnak? Gukumatz? Does anyone know anything?

Danish news report that there is a fire at the Prime minister’s office and at the Oil ministry. So far no reports of casualties.

Hope Oslo dopers are all right.

I just heard on the radio that the prime minister is safe, but may be wounded.

Aftenposten has nothing about a second explosion. A witness claims to have seen casualties.

Dagbladet has the bit about the second explosion, but it may have just been part of a building collapsing.

There are photos out now, it looks bad.

Holy fuck! I heard the explosion from my apartment… only I thought it was thunder. The site is just next door to where I used to work… if this was a year ago, I would have been walking past there on the way home from work. Which means… lots of the people I worked with would have been doing so today… oh crap.

I’m all shaky now.

Yes, the latest news claims it was several coordinated carbombs.

Swedish Aftonbladet website says that several witnesses believe it was a car bomb. Otherwise, no speculation of who was behind it.

When I posted the topic, there were no confirmed deaths, just destroyed buildings and hurt people. Forgive me for being freaked out, I’ve never been closed to a possible terrorist bombing before. I’m sure people wherever you’re from would have been totally calm and collected when faced with the same thing.
