Ottawa, Canada (and area) Dopers

Hi all… I was just wondering how many dopers lived in and around Ottawa.

I know of Anonymous Coward (just from the profile) but who else?

[sub] Mods please delete the other thread. I am somehow dumb enough to post twice. Thanks. [/sub]

CuriousCanuck, if we have learned nothing else from Suspenderzzz, it is that we email the mods to request thread closings.

I am afraid I am no longer in Canada, but I did reside in Kingston for awhile. Our sweet Elenfair is in Ottawa, though.

A number of us live in Montreal

I lived in Ottawa for a while. Nice place. I’m Toronto now, though. Sorry. There are several Dopers in the Ottawa area, I think. Go have some decent poutine and maybe a Pavarazzi’s pizza and pity me.

Can’t get no decent poutine around here… grumble

mmmm Pavarazzis  You just helped me decide on dinner Lissla

And Ginger, I am sorry to have bothered you  but since I am not sure who Suspenderzzz is, then I guess I didn’t learn anything from them. heh

I’m in Toronto, but get up to Ottawa to see my beloved Senators from time to time.

Twit, twit, twit…

They should open a Pavarazzi’s here. It’s not fair. And open one blasted restaurant that makes four-cheese poutine. Just one- that’s all I ask.

We do, on the other hand, have a Kettleman’s Bagels. Opened in the early winter. Nyah.

four-cheese poutine ?

Now I’m curious.

It’s poutine with four different types of cheese on it. I remember the common ones being Cheddar, Montery Jack, regular cheese curds, and… something else? Not Swiss, although Swiss would be great.

Also, there’s Philly Steak poutine, which I’ve never dared try. Shaved steak, mushrooms, sauteed onions, gravy, and cheese curds.

I want to go to the Eligin Street Diner *right now[/]! Dammit!

I’m less surprised by the Philly steak poutine than by the 4-cheese one (both sounds great though).

Could tne fourth cheese be Mozzarella ?

Probably. Yes, I think that’s it. Italian poutine is bolognese sauce and mozzarella.

Let’s see- too far to the supermarket to go for fries, and I’ve already eaten dinner…

I’m hungry again, though. Sorry for the hijack.

Don’t forget the ESD’s Onion Ring Poutine… mmmmm

I’m from Ottawa!!

I’ve been to Ottawa, that close enough? I’ve lived in Mississagua, Belleville, Roslin, and Marmora Ontario.

Does it count that I’m trying like hell to get out of Ottawa? As soon as I find a job in the maritimes, I’m outta here. Loverly town and all, but it’s “away”.

My mom’s from Ottawa…and I try to go there as often as I can…and I hope to live there someday (hopefully when I’m well-off enough to afford a winter home somewhere warm). I love the city.

Unfortunately, I’m in Indiana/Illinois :(.

Hey! How come I haven’t been to this thread till now?
I live in Ottawa . Wesssside!
I moved here about a year ago. So far, so good.

Wesssssside? As long as it ain’t past the MEC then you are in a good neighbourhood! Next time you pass Holland/Wellington wave and I might see you

Well I’m here too.

As for the Sen’s fans, hurry on up before they go.:frowning:
