I think it has already faded pretty hard. All the moves lately are last gasp sorts of moves to revive a ratings slide that shows no sign of stopping.
– as far as the originals, wasn’t Amy the sole carpenter and Ty was added later, or am I misremembering?
Additionally, not only did Gen and Ty jump ship. But the best designer they had- Vern very quietly moved on to making big piles of cash in pricate practice again.
The problem for the show is that the newer designers they added, well. . . sucked. Also the show got stale.
I’m another one who thought that this was face-saving for TS, since Paige Davis is still touring with an very well recieved off-Broadway production of Chicago. I’d heard rumors that for months, now, she hadn’t been planning to go back to TS. I’ll admit I could be wrong, here - since it seems only a minority of other posters here have heard the same things, though DMark is a high quality reference if I can have only one other poster to share my views.
It may be skimpy, scanty, or revealing, but NUDE it ain’t.
nude ( P ) Pronunciation Key (nd, nyd)
adj. nud·er, nud·est
Having no clothing; naked.
Permitting or featuring full exposure of the body: a nude beach.
She’d win in court if it was truly a “no nudity” clause. They may have a “racy behavior” clause, in which case it could be argued that she was racy. But she wasn’t nude.
Paige would do well to blow off the Trading Spaces Up-tightery and stick strictly with the Broadway stuff. I like her, and I prefer her more artistic side.
