Paris goes free! WTF?!

Way to go Justice System. Nice to know a spoiled bitch gets treated differently only because she’s not used to it. I don’t have much more to say than this. Here’s the story…

So she’s getting on house arrest. What a fucking joke

But… She didn’t like the food! Where’s your sense of compassion, man?

Mean-hearted sunofabitch.

I have no rich, skinny, overprivileged dog in this fight, but the TMZ entry also says this:

“She was originally sentenced to 45 days in jail, but that was reduced to 23. She served a total of five days – the normal stay for a violation of this kind.” Maybe that influenced the outcome, I don’t know.

Yeah, that wasn’t a publicity stunt or anything.

Maybe now they can release the kid who got 10 years for a consensual blowjob for “medical reasons.” I hear blue balls can be quite painful.

Way to go in convincing me that the justice system is even more pathetically unjust and ridiculous than before.

If I saw Paris dying while wrapped in burning plastic, I might laugh.

I am utterly speechless. This is really pathetic. Fuck.

I smell a Skinemax deal!

Paris Hilton, the new Bobby Sands.

Actually, I don’t think I would eat a jail bologna sandwich either.

I was arrested once (too long a story, let’s just say, civil disobedience); I didn’t eat it either and I knew what it was.

What’s the over-under on how long it is till she violates house arrest?

“I didn’t realize house arrest meant I had to stay home! And if I did, I didn’t realize it applied to me! I just want to be treated fair. You bunch of meanies!”

It’s good to have money and connections. It’s hard to conclude that she didn’t get preferential treatment here. If Paris wanted to clear anything about her name and start over, she’d have refused the early release. Then again, what human fucking being would want to spend MORE time in jail if they let them out?

It’s really a no-win situation for Paris, but it’s self-imposed and she completely deserves it for her “crimes”.
(“Crimes” in quotes if you want to have them there for the traffic violations she had. I originally had them out, but it sounded too encompassing. Ah, I’ll shut up now.)

I’ll place my bet on 6:14pm, PDT.

Huzzah! Paris is free!! Er, well, sort of… she does have to stay home for the next 40 days.

And is that really a punishment? I’m sure her home is like a small city.

You silly…debutantes don’t come out until 10:00 pm. Duh! Helloooo, it’s like… NIGHTLIFE, dude!

I wouldn’t know, but I really doubt it’s normal for someone to be sentenced to 23 days and serve five. Wouldn’t she have just been sentenced to five days?

Apparently, we aren’t allowed to know what the medical reason was for privacy reasons, which I suppose is fair enough.

But I’d really like to know. Really really like to know. Because it’s my impression that poor people can pretty much get prison shanked in the kidney and still not get let out for “medical reasons.” So what’s the deal here?

Its actually pretty common for non violent offenders, many county lockups do not have the room to keep people so they release some low risk folks to make room for newer low risk who have done no time or violent types who probably should be kept off the street as long as possible.

Several of my cow-orkers back in my warehouseing days were regular “guests of the county” and rarely did more than 50% of their sentenced time.

This is a sad commentary on my social life.
