choie, you might be a little closer to the original if you started masturbating in public.
Well, that, or carry a lantern. Either way, really.

Give me 5 cups of punch and spike that @&%$. Anything to kill the pain.
Chronos, I choose to ignore that suggestive comment. Especially since you didn’t put it in the right color, so officially I can’t hear you anyway.
I’m warning you, the Lords have something special prepared for y’all this dark Eve…
Nah, just messing with you. I know the Dark side won a long time ago.
[oog]Ok, I’ll lay down a few more rules. Each host gets one guess per guest. Once every guest has had two guesses, the hosts each get another guess for every guest not guessed and so on until every guest is correctly guessed.[/oog]
I believe this is up to date.

Pensé que… um… wait, let me think… sorry, I suck at this… si los anfitriones no guesso correctamundo (yeah I know, what can I say, I’m not a very good student of this language) eventualmente they, um, lose-o?
Oh crap I give up. I thought if the hosts use up their guesses and they don’t guess correctly, they’d eventually lose?
I don’t think it’s so much a matter of the prestige of winning-- It’s just about having fun.
Oh I understand that, it’s just that all the previous Party Quirk games had winners/losers and a time limit and so on. Plus that’s what they did on Whose Line Is It Anyway, at least the original (and far superior) UK version, which I used to watch on my local PBS. (KUSM, for the curious.)
I’m sorry, did someone spike my drink? I fell asleep at the same sofa again!
Are we still doing the strip versions of the game? I bet the hosts are waiting this event so they can just take photos of the proceeding.
Aren’t we all winners, when you think about it? How does three rounds sound? Some of the quirks that are left are pretty tricky. I don’t think it’s unfair to give the hosts a few more bites at those apples.
[OOG] Should I be giving more direct hints at this point?[/OOG]
[oog]Personally I’d have preferred a setup like “Game to last X number of days, Hosts get one guess per guest, per day” which gives incentive towards active participation by both guest and host. As it stands right now, I’ve thrown out 15 “clues” and haven’t had a single guess. If I was looking for a solo activity, I could take up masturbation.[/oog]
Yeah, particulary since it’s hard to have winners and losers when some peoples quirks are considerably easier to figure out than others. For example, compare yours and Antinor01’s to whatever Choie’s is. She’s given a wealth of clues and while I get most of the clues, (e.g. the refernce to music CD’s of bands/singers that all have connections to Portland, the reference to Shakespeare’s As You Like It), I still have no idea.
Did they actually keep real score in the original. I know the Drew Carey produced one didn’t.
I still have no idea on yours, though I’m guessing coconuts may play a part. (I mean, it’s not every year you see someone use the word Xylocarps.)
[OOG] They did not keep a real score, but Tony Slaghtery often really did try to guess the Party Quirks, so it felt like a real game. He was on a time limit, of course.[OOG]

Trust me, I’m getting exhausted, too! This is one that gets harder and harder as time goes on,…
As mentioned, host Clive Anderson made up the scores similar to Drew, but there was a definite impetus for the host to win. Sometimes the guests made it easier so the host would guess correctly, especially when Tony Slattery was hosting, since he got hilariously frustrated when the clock was ticking away. But in past Party Quirks here on the SDMB, there was a definite “us” vs. “them” vibe between the hosts and guests, so that’s what I was expecting. But it’s definitely not a big deal for me if we play until everyone is guessed… except that my quirk is freakin’ diabolical (shakes fist at Inner Stickler).
Dayum, Ender’s ingenious quirk remains unguessed? Wow!
/end OOG
Choie’s correct. Decidedly evil is my particular quirk’s summary. Unloved? Unsolved? Unguessed? Yes, yes, & yes.
I tend to be pessimistic because I’m a Capricorn, but I’m trying to move beyond the pull of my star sign to believe that people will guess my quirk. (Then again, Capricorns tend to be confident and ambitious, so maybe those are the traits that will pull me through this dark patch.)
On a different subject, not to kvetch to our hosts or anything, but I cannot believe you asked me to bring chocolate macaroons to the party. The only ones I could find were still marked up for Passover, all these months later. That kind of extortionate pricing really chaps my hide. ARRRGH!
(Plus side: they’re wickedly yummy!!!)
My, my, my. slips off my Halloween Mask of Zorro mask That was interesting. I wasn’t expecting to be showered in candy. Those larger bars really hurt when they fall from such a height.
I’m still good for stripping, **Crowbar of Irony +3, **but I must warn you - ah, never mind. I’ll let you be surprised.
I wish I could find macaroons made from something other than coconut. I don’t like coconut. I like coco, though. Just not nutty coco, I guess? Coco… coco… all this talk coco is making me coco. For coco puffs? Less ‘a’ then Cocoa Puffs, right?! Honey nut cheerios? Lemon bars drizzled with ketchup?
Anyone want to do a crossword with me? That’s the sort of thing one does at these types of parties, right?
I am fond of rugelach.
In the four+ years I’ve been on this board, I have never seen a party quirk post as inscrutable as the last two.
