Lunch was fine, but I-495 was predictable — luckily, just volume and no accidents. But there was a lot of unusual volume on I-95, too, so both drives took longer than they should have. Still, I was back home at around 4:30pm, which wasn’t bad.
Then it was laundry time: in the past few hours the “normal” stuff has been washed + dried + put away, the two “delicate” sweaters are drying on racks, and the “doggy laundry” (waterproof pads that protect the living room rug at night/while I’m out) is currently in the dryer. I will leave them in there overnight. The washer finally gets a chance to dry out: there’s usually some doggy laundry in it, because most days I wash one set of pads while drying another, but I get caught up on laundry days.
Now I’m watching the Yankees game, and keeping my fingers crossed both that we win and that the game doesn’t go into extra innings (so I can go to bed at a decent time)…it’s about to be the top of the 7th and we have a 2-run lead, but that isn’t much…
I, too, laughed way harder at this than I should have.
I get that. And I totally get the “starting over” frustration. I think that’s what made me “give up” after my last relationship mumble mumble years ago: I just couldn’t seem to come up with the energy to start over yet again. I expect that part to get old super quick once more, if I ever follow through on this dating site profile thing.
