I was at the Gym biking today and I noticed that Patrick Stewart was on ‘The View’. Does anyone know why he was there and what they were talking about/ (there was no sound at the gym).
And if anyone would know where I could get a copy of the show? (im a pretty big Picard fan

I believe it was probably because he is starring as Henry II in a Cable movie remake of The Lion In Winter.
any idea when that will be airing? and on what channel?

The Lion In Winter will premiere on Showtime at 7:30 p.m. this Sunday (May 23). It will probably repeat many times thereafter.
I’m bummed that I don’t have Showtime, because I love Patrick Stewart and Glenn Close is my favorite actress. Here’s a good CNN article about the production with some nice pictures .

hahaha speaking of Patrick Stewart. I remember watching an interview somewhere in which he was asked what he thought about all the Mars missions and so on. Funny enough, The Starship Captain himself was quite against any further space exploration. He said that we ought to focus more on the problems on THIS planet FIRST before expanding =)…smart fella

OT: I’ve seen seperate interviews with Stewart (w/ Conan O’Brien) and Ian McKellan (w/ Parkinson) and I would LOVE to be a fly on the wall at any X-men scene involving them when the director yells cut :).

“The Lion in Winter” is my favorite movie. I’ve seen the half-hour Making of… program a few weeks ago. Was not impressed with either Stewart or Close. They are fine actors, though seemingly miscast here. I’ll watch the show, just to see what their take on it is. Perhaps I’m in for a treat!
